- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 21/05/2008 at 1530 hrs at Parpikallu Nidle village Belthangady Taluk one Iqbal driver of Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AD-090 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Innova car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-NT-M-1607. As a result Mandanna (29) R/o Arameri village Virajapete Taluk Kodagu district driver of Innova car, Monnappa who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries. Further Iqbal driver of Tata Indica car, Balarama(20) and other 4 persons who were traveling in the Indica car sustained grievous injuries where in one Balarama (20) succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 21/05/2008 at 1030 hrs in front of Syndicate Bank at Milagres cross road Mangalore one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-4378 driven by one Mohan (21) R/o Kulashekara Mangalore. As a result one Pramila pillion rider of said Kinetic Honda scooter sustained simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 20/05/2008 at 2015 hrs on NH 13 at Kesarugadde Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-17-A-1279 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-S-3062. As a result one Gunakara Sheety (28) R/o Kokkarne Mangur village Udupi District rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 21/05/2008 at 1845 hrs at Ashwini Circle Puttur Town one Harish driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-a-932 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-9546. As a result Jagadish (29) motorcycle rider and Ramesh B. Gowda R/o Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 21/05/2008 at 1300 hrs on credible information PSI Kavoor PS along with staff conducted a raid at Kudru Padushedde village Mangalore Taluk and seized 10 liter of illegal liquor of worth Rs. 500/. However accused one Phliph D’Souza (52) R/o Kudru Padushedde village Mangalore Taluk managed to escape from the scene.
