- A case of Burglary has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the intervening night of 23-24/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into Sri. Kutyaru Somanatheshwara Temple at Belthangady Town by removing the roof tiles and committed theft of Rs. 24,000/ by breaking the ‘Kanike Hundi’

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/05/2008 in between 1730 hrs and 1800 hrs near Chowdeshwari Temple at Shiradi village Puttur Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6429 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mithun (13) R/o Heggde village Sakaleshpura Taluk a pedestrian due which Mithun sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. The lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 24/05/2008 at 2030 hrs on SH 88 at Arambur Aletti village Sullia Taluk one Shivappa Naika driver of Mini lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-3652 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-04-B-364 that was parked at roadside. As a result Kiran Kumar, Naveen Kumar (32) R/o Kabaka village Puttur Taluk who were traveling in the said Mini lorry sustained grievous injuries. Further they were admitted to Govt. hospital at Sullia where in one Kiran Kumar succumbed to his injures while under treatment on the same day.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 24/05/2008 at 1000 hrs on U.P. Mallya Road at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7355 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7355. As a result one Shivaprasad Shetty rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 24/05/2008 at 1730 hrs at Yemmekere junction at Mangalore one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. KA-19-MF-5166 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9409 driven by one Shro Johns Samson (26) R/o Attavara Mangalore. As a result one Laxmi pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 17/05/2008 at 2030 hrs on M.G. Road at Hathill Mangalore one Subramanya Kamath rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-8108 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandramma a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result one Subramanya rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.

On 23/05/2008 at 2000 hrs on NH 17 in front of MCF Factory at Panambur Mangalore Taluk one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-204 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against in an auto tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3028. As a result one Nobart Ronald D’Souza R/o Kankanady Mangalore driver of said auto tempo sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 23/05/2008 at 1630 hrs near Krishanakodi at Kalladka Bantwal Taluk one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9809 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-826. As a result one Filex D’Souza (43) R/o Mardala Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk driver of bus sustained simple injuries. The Tanker driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 23/05/2008 at 2200 hrs at Bollar Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk one David driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-9295 drove his vehicle in backward direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Manish K. (22) R/o Kedial Ramakunja villge Puttut Taluk a cleaner of said bus and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 24/05/2008 at 1000 hrs at Pernamanja cross Padangady village Belthangady Taluk one Umana Poojary driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4448 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9926 that was parked at roadside. Further auto rickshaw driver lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Umana Poojary driver of said auto rickshaw and Pousthin Carstha who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/05/2008 at 1630 hrs one Ismail Nadapa accidentally slipped into the Nathravathi river at 34th Nekkilady village Uppinangady Puttur Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantal Rural Police Station. In between 21/05/2008 at 2000 hrs and 24/05/2008 at 0900 hrs one Lingappa Gowda (35) R/o Gadipalke Mugeru Sangabettu village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to trivial issue.
