- A case of Robbery has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 23/05/2008 at 1800 hrs near Sri Narayanaguru College at Kudroli Mangalore one Vathsala (45) W/o Mohan Shet R/o Vadirajanagara Barke Mangalore and her son Deepak were on there way to home by walk. At that time accused one Ummar Nawaz came near her and snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. Meanwhile he was caught red hand by the public and handed over to the Police. The value of the property is Rs. 20,000/.

- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. In between 22/05/2008 and 23/05/2008 at 0730 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one P.B. Bhat R/o Kambar Alape village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the window glass and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 1,000/ all in worth Rs. 5,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On the intervening night of 22-23/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Chandranatha Basadi Meginapete at Vittal Town by breaking door lock and committed theft of Panchaloha idols and copper Pooja articles. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 24, 300/.

No. KA-19-B-1158 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2326. As a result Vishwas motorcycle rider and Pushparaj (22) R/o Naringala village Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 22/05/2008 at 1830 hrs near Achal Factory at Baikampady Industrial Area Mangalore one Shekara driver of Mahindra Pickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9795 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thippamma (30) R/o Panjimogeru Kavoor Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 21/05/2008 at 0800 hrs and 23/05/2008 at 1200 hrs one Dalayya (45) accidentally fell down at Kelinjaguri Shambhur village Bantwal Taluk due to heavy drunkenness and died on the spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 24/05/2008 in between 0830 hrs and 0900 hrs one Babitha (30) R/o Madyabeedu Madya village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging near her house owing to personal problem.
