  • A case under Hurt along with intending to insult the modesty of woman (sec 509 IPC) has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1930 hrs accused one Kishore abused one Gulabi (28) R/o Sarakarigudde Kavoor Mangalore in filthy language and tried to insult her modesty and assaulted her with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 14/05/2008 at 1230 hrs at Dongarakere Mangalore one driver of auto tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6665 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2335. As a result motorcycle rider Babu Bangera N. and pillion rider of said motorcycle Balakrishana sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1730 hrs at Kadri Market Mangalore one unknown jeep driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-S-6288. As a result one Deepak (32) R/o Thenkabellur village Bantwal Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The jeep driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

  • A case of Rioting, Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Suresh Shetty and 9 others forming into unlawful assembly and stopped a tempo at Kalsanka Jainapete Moodabidre and assaulted inmates Santhosha Santha Mayura (27) R/o Pencharu Mantrady village Mangalore Taluk and Saddu Poojary by hand also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 14/05/2008 at 1845 hrs accused Jaleel M.R., Umarabba, Kareem, Riyaz, Majeeb, Mustafa M., Abbas, Mohamed K., Pakeer, Ali, Kalndar and others forming into the unlawful assembly and criminally restrained Elyas (20) R/o Sarapady village Bantwal Taluk and Ubedulla near Mosque at Agrahara Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick. They also assaulted one Abdul Hameed who came to help Elyas and Ubedulla with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 14/05/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Riyaz, Umarabba, Pakeer, Zakariya, Mohammed M.A.K, Ali, Kalandar and other forming into the unlawful assembly and stopped a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-10-M-6669 near Mosque at Agrahara Navoor village Bantwal Taluk and abused inmates Sharif (21) R/o Somavarapete Taluk Kodagu district, Showkath and Usman in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 14/05/2008 at 2140 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with staff conducted a raid near Seethamma compound Urwa Mangalore and seized 184 liquor bottles (180 ml) that were being kept illegally for sale. However accused one Ajith (20) R/o Seethamma compound Urwa Mangalore managed to escape from the scene.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. In between 11/05/2008 and 14/05/2008 at 1400 hrs one Laveena Rodrigus (37) R/o Loretto Padavu Amtady village Bantwal Taluk was found dead in her house. The death seems to be due some illness.
