- A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. Where in one Vinod Jorge has been declared dead while under treatment on 30/04/2008 at 1520 hrs. The said Somappa Madiwala was seriously injured by a motorcycle road traffic accident on 29/04/2008 at 2315 hrs at Jappinamogeru Mangalore and admitted to the Omega Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered Belthangady Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1030 hrs at Kalleri Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk one Ramakrishna Devadiga rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-2831 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result one Vikas Devadiga (13) pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injurious. Further he was admitted to Unity hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1415 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 29/04/2008 at 1400 hrs at Bajilakeri Mangalore one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-3021 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-20-H-3021 driven by one Mahammad Putthu Bawa R/o Jeppu Mangalore. As a result one Samsad (37) W/o Mahammad Putthu Bawa R/o Jeppu Mangalore pillion rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 2400 hrs at Yeyyadi Mangalore one unknown driver of jeep drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7884. As a result one Dhananjaya (21) R/o Shakthinagar Mangalore rider of motorcycle and Sachin pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The driver of jeep escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1435 hrs at Kolekkadi Athikaribettu Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of auto rickshaw drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetick Nova scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6512 driven by one Jayalaxmi (42) R/o Karnadu Mangalore. As a result one Vidhya pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries. The driver of auto rickshaw escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1245 hrs at Suralpadi Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk one Mahammad Maksud rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V2394 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2264. As result auto rickshaw driver one Devadas M (56) , Surendra Rao who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw and motorcycle rider Maksud also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 2200 hrs at Ujire-Belthangady road Belthangady Town one driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-31-M-3420 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new auto rickshaw. Further the Omni car also capsized. As result Mahammad Rafiq (29) driver of auto rickshaw, Sabu Mathew who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw and driver of the car sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 2130 hrs accused Munna @ Charan, Mukhesh and Rathan criminally restrained one Seetharam Kotian (34) R/o Mogavirapatna Ullal Mangalore near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1300 hrs on credible information PI Lottery and Excise detention squad Udupi along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Bajal cross at Jappinamogru and seized 144 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 4,746/ however the accused manages to escape from the scene who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there. The case handed over to Mangalore Rural Police for conducting further investigation.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1800 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Thambuthadka Nidpalli village Puttur Taluk and seized 48 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,700/ and by arresting Koragappa Poojary (43) R/o Thambuthadka Nidpalli village Puttur Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

- A case under Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1730 hrs one Shrivatsa (24) R/o Maila Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison near his house owing to personal problem.
