- A case of Burglary has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 27/05/2008 in between 0930 hrs and 1615 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Raveendra (55) R/o Kodangallu Pranthya village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 21,000/.

- A case under Criminal trespass, Intentional insult with intend to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Mischief of causing damage has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 2100 hrs accused Girisha, Rama and Rathnavathi criminally trespassed into the house belongings to one Ammi (37) W/o Aithappa Mogera R/o Jattipalla Sullia Town and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her with wooden stick and sickle and also damaged her house by breaking window glass owing to previous enmity.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 26/05/2008 at 2230 hrs at Shivabhag Kadri Mangalore one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8283 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prakash Pereira a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 0915 hrs at Balmatta Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-6948 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1979. As a result Jaganantha (38) R/o Valencia Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1979 and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The other motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 0830 hrs near Guruprasad Hotel at Kulai Mangalore one Suresh Poojary driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-4001 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Janardhana Shettigar a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 1745 hrs at Goonadka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-06-B-1573 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1573 driven by one Mohankrishna A. R/o Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk. As a result KSRTC bus got damaged. No causalities reported.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 0500 hrs accused Appachchan @ Kinnan, Bolmanar Appachcha and John @ M.M. Philip criminally restrained Kunchi K.C. R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State and Sheenu at Matada Majalu Charmady village Belthangady Taluk and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be civil dispute between Kunchi K.C and accused persons.

On 26/05/2008 at 2300 hrs on credible information Venkateshayya Thahashildar Puttur Taluk, PSI Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted a raid on a Surabhi Hotel at Darbe Puttur Town and seized 3 LPG cylinders. One by Janardhana R/o Darbe Puttur Town the owner was arrested. It is learnt that the accused used to divert domestic LPG and illegally fill the private cylinders at higher rates and make profit.
- A case under the Essential commodities Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 26/05/2008 at 2330 hrs on credible information Venkateshayya Thahashildar Puttur Taluk, PSI Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted a raid on a Sarovara Bar & Restaurant at Puttur Town and seized 1 LPG cylinder. One by Seetharama Shetty R/o Puttur Town the owner was arrested. It is learnt that the accused used to divert domestic LPG and illegally fill the private cylinders at higher rates and make profit.
