- A case under Attempt to Theft has been registered in Punambur Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1420 hrs at Industrial Area Baikampady Mangalore accused one Giriyappa (45) R/o Bakilakatte Bantwal Taluk driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5003 was caught redhand by PSI Panabur PS while he attempted to commit theft of diesel from the said Tanker. An Axe Blade was recovered from him and Tanker was seized. Further he has been arrested and remanded for judicial custody.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1715 hrs near Deepa Friends club at Shathkinagara Padavu Mangalore one Yogish rider of Honda Activa scooter rider bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-9154 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abbakka R/o Shaktinagara Padvau Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries. Further she was admitted to S.C.S. hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries on the same at 2045 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 23/05/2008 at 1900 hrs at Otteshanthi Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk one Abbas rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-6025 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-5680. As a result Narayana Naik rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-5680 and Thilak (23) R/o Ukkada Vittal Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 23/05/2008 at 0900 hrs at Urimajalu Idikadu village Bantwal Taluk one Abbas driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2711 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-6958. As a result Purushotham Acharya (24) R/o Naduvadka Vittal Bantwal Taluk rider of motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1130 hrs on Ujire-Charmady road at Mundaje village Belthangady Taluk one Aboobakkar driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-11-M-2079 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which jeep capsized. As a result Shashidhara Nayar R/o Odinala village Belthangady Taluk and other 4 passengers who were traveling in the said jeep sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 26/05/2008 at 1900 hrs at Maril Kemminje village Puttur Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-144 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Abdul Jabbar who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

On 27/05/2008 at 1930 hrs accused Shashidhara, Poovappa, Ramesh, Janardhana, Dinesh and Bhagi forming into an unlawful assembly at Ajalady Tharipadpu Mundoor village Puttur Taluk and assaulted one Mahalinga Bakuda (67) R/o Ajalady Tharipadpu Mundoor village Puttur Taluk by hand and with wooden stick. The motive seems to be personal enmity between them.

On 28/05/2008 at 1630 hrs accused Asif, Siraj, Ravoof and Mousin criminally restrained one Azeez (38) R/o Subhashnagara Pandeshwara Mangalore at Dakke Mangalore and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 26/05/2008 at 1900 hrs accused one Devappa Gowda assaulted one Lingappa Gowda (42) R/o Govindottu Kalaja village Belthangady Taluk with wooden stick near his house. The motive seems to be financial dispute between accused and Lingappa Gowda..
- A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1545 hrs accused one Ananda U.S. criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Sudhakara (29) R/o Gandhinagara Sullia Town and assaulted him by hand and with knife and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

On 27/05/2008 at 2130 hrs accused Sheena @ Shivarama, Sheshappa and Chandayya abused Purushothama (30) R/o Akshayanagra Kalmanja village Belthangady Taluk and Santhosh near Panchayath Office at Kalmanja village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with knife and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 27/05/2008 at 1000 hrs one Padmayya (18) R/o Shevire Kabaka village Puttur Taluk accidentally fell down from the building while working at Sampya Aryapu village Puttur Taluk. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day at 2215 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/05/2008 at 1730 hrs one Arifa (13) R/o Parapu Kaliya village Belthangady Taluk accidentally fell down from terrace while she walking in her house and died on the spot.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. In between 27/05/2008 at 1700 hrs and 29/05/2008 at 0700 hrs one Krishan Bovi (50) R/o Talemogaru Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into the Netravathi river while walking near his house and died due drowning.
