- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 11/05/2008 at 1930 hrs at Kuriyala Bantwal Taluk one Thimmappa Gowda driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8036 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Thimmappa Gowda driver of said auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 11/05/2008 at 2000 hrs on GHS road at Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-7008 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Nidhi (13) R/o Bajal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 10/05/2008 at 0500 hrs at Kesarugadde Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk one Raghavendra driver of Maruti omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6152 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Maruti car capsized. As a result Raghavendra driver Maruti car, Srikanta Moorthi P.S. R/o Yelahanka Bangalore, Lakshmana Rao P.N., Sunitha, Ambika who were traveling in the said Maruti car sustained simple injuries.

- A case under sec. 4 (1) (A) and sec. 9, 21, (1) (2) (3) (4) 23 and 24 MM (R.D) 1957 and 468, 471, 379, 420 IPC has been registered in Surathkal Police Station on the complaint of Mr. Niranjana A. M. Senior Geologist Mines and Geology Dept. On 09/05//2008 at 2100 hrs he along with staff while on duty at Mukka check post found a lorry transporting iron ore form Sandoor to Mangalore with duplicate permits. Thus he has lodged this complaint and handed over the lorry with goods and documents to Surathkal PS who are conducting further investigation.
