- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. In between 03/05/2008 at 2200 hrs and 04/05/2008 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a scooter bearing Reg. KA-21-J-8501 belonging to one Praveena P. (28) R/o Melmajalu house Bannur village Puttur Taluk that was parked near his house. The scooter is worth Rs. 35,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 09/05/2008 at 2030 hrs on NH 17 at Panambur Mangalore one Karthikeyan driver of Newmetic Tire roller while taking reverse of the vehicle drove negligently and dashed one Raza Imaran (23) a service provider. As a result he got seriously injuries and died on the spot.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 08/05/2008 at 1930 hrs at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one unknown driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-301 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-9908 from behind. As a result Santhosh D’ Kunha (28) R/o Neermarga Mangalore motorcycle rider and Sunitha pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 09/05/2008 at 0930 hrs on NH 17 at Thalapady village Mangalore Taluk one Hammed Khan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-8141 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Chandu Belchada a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 07/05/2008 at 1930 hrs near Vamadapadavu at Pilimogaru village Bantwal Taluk one unknown driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8051 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one John D’Souza (35) R/o Basavanabailu Budoli village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-29-M-2674 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-5868. As a result Komalanga (38) R/o Guthigar village Sullia Taluk driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-5868 sustained simple injuries.

As a result one Rakshith (18) R/o Rayee village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7905 sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 08/05/2008 at 2100 hrs at Aladapadavu Ajjibettu village Bantwal Taluk one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-6777 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Gangadhara Bhandari B. (43) R/o Bannu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 09/05/2008 at 2240 hrs at Anugraha Bar and Restaurant at Urwastores Mangalore one Venu @ Venugopala Sunkadakatte Urwastores Mangalore abused inmates Divakara and James and assaulted them by hand and damaged the showcase by breaking the glass and also gave life threat to them. Motive seems to be dispute over payment of bill.

On 09/05/2008 at 1800 hrs one Pradeepa (11) R/o Panjimogaru house Balthila village Sullia Taluk got electrocuted and sustained grievous injuris near his house due to the negligence of MESCOM Sullia.
