On the interviewing night of 26-27/02/2009 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Suzuki Samurai motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-5390 belonging to one Kethan Kasthuri (43) R/o Jeppu Mangalore that was parked near Main Enterprises at Jeppu Market Mangalore. The worth of motorcycle is Rs. 10,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 31/03/2009 at 1315 hrs on NH-17 at Mukka Junction Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-9533 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Babu a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Padmavathi hospital at Surathkal where he declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1320 hrs. The driver of bus escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 31/03/2009 at 1950 hrs at Sampya Aryapu village Puttur Taluk one unknown car driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Dhananjaya (50) R/o Aryapu village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries. The unknown car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
