- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 1630 hrs of 10/04/2009 and 1630 hrs of 11/04/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Sameer (36) R/o Kankanady Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 4,36,000/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 25/03/2009 and 27/03/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Jayaprakash Naik R/o Bondel Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed a theft of Digital Camera and gold ornaments all in worth Rs. 18,000/.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 1315 hrs and 0130 hrs of 20/03/2009 some unknown culprits committed a theft of Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-9703 belonging to one Sharif (32) R/o Chembugudde Permannur village Mangalore Taluk that was parked in front of Al-Huda Mosque at Ullal Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 25,000/.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 1115 hrs accused Dejappa, Seethu and Deekayya Mugera abused one Chinnamma (52) W/o Suresh Nalike R/o. Bavali Kadu Nidle village Belthangady Taluk in filthy language near her house and assaulted her by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute between them.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 11/04/2009 at 1630 hrs near Kuloor Bridge at Mangalore one Praveena driver of Tanker Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-9968 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tanker lorry capsized. As a result Dombayya and Babu cleaners of the said lorry sustained serious injures. Further Dombayya succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital. The Tanker Lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 11/04/2009 at 1230 hrs near Haleyangady junction at Haleyangady village Mangalore Taluk one Divakara Prabhu driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AD-6543 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-7170 driven by Charles W. Karkada R/o Pavanje village Mangalore Taluk. As a result Lajaras Soans (75) pillion rider of said Honda Activa scooter sustained serious injuries. Further Lajaras Soans (75) succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 11/04/2009 at 1745 hrs near Pavanje Bridge at Surathkal Mangalore one Narayana Shetty driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9079 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-3817 driven by Shiva Moorthi. As a result Godwin (21) R/o Hebri Karkala Taluk Udupi District and 20 to 40 passengers who were traveling in the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-9079 sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 11/04/2009 at 1500 hrs on NH-17 at Kallapu Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one Deepak driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-21-1467 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tempo capsized. As a result Sudhir Kumar (23) R/o Pavoor village Mangalore Taluk and other 10 passengers who were traveling in the said Tempo sustained grievous injuries.
