- A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Criminal intimidation, Mischief causing damage along with Murder has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 13/04/2009 at 2315 hrs accused Lokesh, Manoj, Ravi, Umesh, Shankar and Dharma formining into an unlawfull assembly in the Suprabhatha Bar and Restaurant at Honnakatte Kulai village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained and abused Nagaraj (23) R/o NMPT colony Panambur Mangalore, Nagaraj Desai, Cyril, Deekshith, Rathish and Harish Bhandary (26) in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick and with Sword and also gave life threat to them and damaged the car with wooden stick. Further Harish Bhandary was admitted to A.J hospital at Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on 14/04/2009 at 0210 hrs.

- A case of Burglary has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 2100 hrs of 11/04/2009 and 0400 hrs of 13/04/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Charan Kumar (30) R/o Kote Uppinangady Town Puttur Taluk by breaking the window door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments and Cash Rs. 2,000/ all in worth Rs. 15, 000/.

- A case under House trespass, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 1230 hrs accused Thimmayya, Ananda, Sharada and Praveena criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Pushpa (27) R/o Bhimande Odilnala village Belthangady Taluk and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to civil dispute between them.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 13/04/2009 at 1230 hrs on NH 17 near Karavali college at Mangalore one Chandrashekara driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-2637 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Ishwara Naik a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 12/04/2009 at 1830 hrs at Malali cross Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1220. As a result one Bhaskara (32) R/o Kukkuri Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk rider of the said motorcycle bearing Reg. No. No. KA-19-S-1220 and pillion rider of said motorcycle one Purandara Kulal sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 13/04/2009 at 1130 hrs near Mayura Theatre at Puttur Town one driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9789 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Mahammad Masood (15) R/o Mithrapadpu Kedila village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/04/2009 at 1130 hrs at Maddadka Kuvettu village Belthagady Taluk one driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-MC-7526 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Naveena (24) R/o Maddadka Kuvettu village Belthagady Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 13/04/2009 at 1430 hrs accused Mohana criminally restrained and abused one Koosappa B. R (51) R/o Bolugallu Sampaje villaeg Sulia Taluk at Kallagundi Sampaje village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him with stone owing to previous enmity.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 13/04/2009 at 1900 hrs on credible information DySP Excise and Lottery Detention Squade Western Range Mangalore along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Manchila Permannuru village Mangalore Taluk and seized (500 ltrs) of illicit liquor worth Rs.13, 600/ and Cash Rs. 60/. By arresting accused one Michel D’ Souza R/o Manchila Permannur village Mangalore Taluk. The case handed over to Ullal Police for conducting further investigation.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 2000 hrs of 12/04/2009 and 0700 hrs of 13/04/2009 one Dogu Karkera (65) R/o Nandanapura Akashbhavan Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. One Ranjitha (18) R/o Kuppepadavu Kelinjar village Mangalore Taluk consumed poison on 12/04/2009 at 1100 hrs in her house owing to health problem. Further she was admitted to KMC hospital Manipal where she was declared dead while under treatment on 13/04/2009 at 0100 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 13/04/2009 at 1800 hrs one unknown male aged about 45 yrs fell down due to some illness at Dasarakodi Balthila village Bantwal Taluk and died on the spot.
A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/04/2009 1030 hrs one unknown male person aged about 60-65 yrs accidentally slipped into the Nethravathi river Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 12/04/2009 at 1330 hrs one Chitravathi (23) R/o Kayarthadka Kalenja village Belthangady Taluk attempted to commit suicide by pouring petrol on her self. She got serious burn injuries and was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1630 hrs.
