In between 2200 hrs of 09/04/2009 and 0900 hrs of 10/04/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Jarandaya Daivasthana at Kaneere Thota Kaneere village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the main door lock and committed theft a silver idol and other Pooja Articles all in worth Rs. 24,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 1245 hrs at Mogra Gutthigaru village Sullia Taluk one Umesha driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. CNE-3602 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which bus fell into a roadside ditch. As a result Suresha R/o Kudradka Gutthigaru village Sullia Taluk who was traveling the said lorry sustained serious injures. Further Suresha succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 1230 hrs at Azizuddin Road Mangalore one driver of Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-6248 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-7442. As a result motorcycle rider one Anil Kumar (30) R/o Boloor Mangalore sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 0850 hrs near Toll gate at Panambur Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-6602 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-8419. As a result Brahmayya K. (48) R/o Kunjatthabail Kavoor Mangalore rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-8419 and rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-6602 sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 10/04/2009 at 1700 hrs at Karambar Kenjar village Mangalore Taluk one Rafeeq rider of scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-7017 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which scooter capsized. As a result one Basheer (65) R/o Padil Mangalore pillion rider of said scooter sustained simple injuries.

On 10/04/2009 at 1400 hrs accused Abdul Jameer (26) R/o Kutthar Padav Munnur Village Mnagalore Taluk, Izaz (22) R/o Shubash Nagar Munnur village Mangalore Taluk and Pongu @ Mahammad Sharief picked up quarrel and started fighting over trivial issue in a public place at Kutthar junction Munnur village Mangalore Taluk. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.

On 10/04/2009 at 0730 hrs one Venkappa Poojary (52) R/o Gutthabettu Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell down from coconut tree while removing coconut near his house and got serious injuries and died on the spot.
