- A case under Copyright Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 08/07/2009 at 1400 hrs on credible information Rajesh Sr. Executive Anti Piracy Ltd. Bangalore, PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on Orkut Mobile Centre at Sullia Town and seized duplicate DVD/VCD of T-series company which has been copied illegally by arresting one Shabeer Ahamed (20) R/o Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 08/07/2009 at 1230 hrs on credible information PSI in Puttur Rural PS along with staff intercepted a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-E-9439 near Telephone Exchange at Idra village Puttur Taluk and seized 1500 sachets (each 100 ML) and 350 Lts spirit from the car, which was being transported illegally. The said Maruti car has also been seized by arresting one Shankar P R/o Shikaripura Taluk Shivamog District. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 83,500/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 08/07/2009 at 0830 hrs one Hiriya (40) R/o Gurumpe Hoigebail Mangalore accidentally slipped into the pond at Dambel Mangalore and died due drowning.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Belthanady Police Station. One Raju R/o Nelligudde Neriya village Belthangady Taluk went to work on 31/05/2009 at 0600 hrs and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
