  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 2200 hrs of 24/07/2009 and 0800 hrs of 25/07/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Mobile CafĂ© shop at Kulur junction Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Sirajuddin (24) R/o Rayee katte Kulur Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of 13 mobile sets all in worth Rs. 24,250/.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 1430 hrs and 1600 hrs of 24/07/2009 some unknown culprits committed a theft of Hero Honda Passion motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-J-4103 belonging to one Raviraj K. Nayak (29) R/o Nehru nagara Puttur Taluk that was parked in front of Sanjeevni buliing at Falneer Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 28,000/.

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 21/07/2009 at 1100 hrs accused Venkatesh and Damodara abused one Jainabhi R/o Janatha Colony Irde village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near her house and assaulted her with wooden stick owing to civil dispute.

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 25/07/2009 at 2100 hrs at Bapplige junction Puttur Taluk one unknown vehicle driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Swaminatha (24) R/o Sulthanapura Thasil Gowsi Mamu district Uttar Pardesh State a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Traffic East Police Station. On 25/07/2009 at 0715 hrs at Carstreet Mangalore one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Dr. Ramesh T. Kavari a pedestrian from behind and caused him grievous injuries. Further motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 25/07/2009 at 1815 hrs at Kuduroli Mangalore one Purushothama driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-4051 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Ibrahim Khalil (06) a pedestrian from behind and caused him simple injuries.

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 24/07/2009 at 1900 hrs accused Chandran, Abeesh and Aneesh abused Narayana R. (57) R/o Railway Quarters Mangalore and his wife Anitha in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick near his house owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 24/07/2009 at 1745 hrs near bus stop at Bullerikatte Beedu Balnadu village Puttur Taluk accused Gopal Acharaya R/o Ankathadka Bullerikattte assaulted one Ananda Acharya P. (38) R/o Kallugude Vittal Mandur village Bantwal Taluk by hand with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to financial depute between them.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 25/07/2009 at 1330 hrs on credible information PSI Uppinangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Tharidadi Bandru village Belthangady Taluk and seized 25 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 400/ and cash Rs. 100/ by arresting Kunchnna Gowda (70) R/o Tharidadi Bandru village Belthangady Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
  • A case under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 25/07/2009 at 1830 hrs accused Gangadhara Gowda and Mahesha criminal restrained one Ganesh P. (20) R/o Pajigaru Colony Balila village Sullia Taluk at Balila junction Balila village Sullia Taluk and abused in filthy language referring to his caste and also assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 2300 hrs of 24/07/2009 and 0600 hrs of 25/07/2009 one Chandra Kumar (28) R/o Mullia Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/07/2009 at 1230 hrs one Rajeeth (20) R/o Balagaje Pambethadi village Sullia Taluk accidentally consumed poison in his house. Further he was admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 25/07/2009 at 0330 hrs.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 0930 hrs of 24/07/2009 and 0730 hrs of 25/07/2009 one Balakrishna R/o Main road Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
