On 18/06/2009 at 2030 hrs on specific information PSI Uppinangady PS along with staff conducted raid behind Rajadhani Towers at Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk. At the time of raid Police found 07 persons playing “Ander - Bahar” with cards. Police seized cash Rs. 1,750/, 05 mobiles, two Wrist Watches and playing cards from the spot by arresting Shekara (30), Ramesha (27), Umesha (21), Sheena (42), Lathif (32), Ganesh Poojary and Dharnappa who were indulging in gambling.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Uppinangady PS U/s 87 of the Karnataka Police Act.
