- A case of Robbery has been registered in Barke Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 12/07/2009 at 1015 hrs on Jodupalli Mosque road at Bokkapatna Mangalore, one Mashu (42) W/o Late Ahammed R/o Bokkapatna Mangalore was on her way to home by walk, at that time, two unknown persons came in a motorcycle and snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away with their motorcycle. The value of property is around Rs.15, 000/.

- A case under Hurt, Outraging modesty of woman along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 12/07/2009 at 1200 hrs accused Lingappa and Mallikarjuna assaulted one Pakeeravva Bhajanthri (24) W/o Lingappa R/o Thaneerbhavi Panambur Mangalore by hand and with stone at Kutthethoor village Mangalore Taluk and outraged her modesty by pulling her hand and also gave life threat to her.
- A case under Criminal restraint, Rape along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 11/07/2007 at 2000 hrs accused one Monappa R/o Navoor Gandhinagara Sullia Town criminally restrained one 18 years old girl R/o Navoor Gandhinagara Sullia Town near her house and forcibly raped her and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 12/07/2009 at 0100 hrs on PVS junction at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-3883 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another car bearing Reg. No.KA-19-Z-3681 driven by one Santhosh (28) R/o Mangaladevi Mangalore. As a result the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-3681 got damaged. No causalities reported. The driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-3883 escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 11/07/2009 at 2045 hrs near KPT circle at Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-35-7948 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied the break suddenly due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Vinod D’ Souza (25) R/o Bondel Mangalore who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 12/07/2009 at 1630 hrs near Tharethota at Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-5138 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4866. As a result motorcycle rider one Pavanraj (20) R/o Padil Mangalore sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 12/07/2009 at 1000 hrs near Koila bridge at Koila village Bantwal Taluk one Lokesha rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-1821 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Shekara (48) R/o Parari Koila village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 12/07/2009 at 1715 hrs in front of Uncle Sweet Stall at Darbe Puttur Town one Jayarama rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-H-4896 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Thimmappa (20) R/o Kaimana village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 11/07/2009 at 2000 hrs one Chandrahasa Shetty R/o Hosamane Soorinje village Mangalore Taluk attempt to commit suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to personal problem. Further he was admitted to Fr Muller hospital Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 12/07/2009 at 0715 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 29/06/2009 at 0730 hrs one Marina Albukark (28) R/o Kedoor Cheloor village Bantwal Taluk sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light kerosene stove in her house. She was admitted to the Fr Muller Hospital Mangalore and there while under treatment she succumbed to her injuries on 12/07/2009 at 0935 hrs.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 12/07/2009 at 2215 hrs one Rizwan (18) R/o Maripalla Pudu village Bantwal Taluk who went to Nethravathi river at Sujir Malli Pudu village Bantwal Taluk. There he accidentally fell in to river and got washed away. He has not been traced so far.
