In between 1530 hrs of 15/07/2009 and 0900 hrs of 16/07/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Vagga Pre-University College at Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of 03 Gas Cyclinders. The stolen property is worth Rs. 3,000/.

- A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Mulki Police Station on the complaint of one Sainaz Bhanu (26) W/o Mohammed Sadeek R/o Indiranagara Haleyangady Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Mohammed Sadeek (husband) and his relatives Kasim Saheb, Sakeen and Sahara abused her filthy language and gave physical and mental harassment to Sainaz Bhanu to bring more dowry.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic West Police Station. On 14/07/2009 at 2330 hrs near Navaneeth Hotel at M.G. road Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MD-2882 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-7206 driven by one Chandrashekar Kamath K.S. R/o Lohith Nagara Mangalore. As a result the car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-7206 got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 16/07/2009 at 1150 hrs at Guruvayanakere Kuvettu village Belthangady Taluk one Umesha driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-AT-2950 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a D’ Kunha Cloth Store shop. As a result shop got damaged. No causalities reported. The damage is caused about Rs. 80,000/.

On 15/07/2009 at 1530 hrs at Nelligudde Bollimar Kavalamudoor village Bantwal Taluk one Anwar Pasha driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-22-M-4828 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3222 due, which auto rickshaw, capsized. As a result auto rickshaw driver Lokesha R/o Kavalamudoor village Bantwal Taluk and Rukiya Mohammed Sharief who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 16/07/2009 at 1300 hrs at Seraje Narimogaru village Puttur Taluk one Manoj Kumar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2626 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7251 due, which auto rickshaw, capsized. As a result auto rickshaw driver one Shivaprasad R/o Serve village Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries.
