Ordinary Theft: 01
  • A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 1130 hrs of 02/08/2009 and 0800 hrs of 04/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry in to the rented room belonging to one Jalajakshi M.M (25) R/o Mallikatte Mangalore and committed a theft of Gold ornaments and Sony Digital camera. The total worth of stolen property is Rs. 35,000/.

  • A case under Criminal trespass, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Outrage the modesty of woman, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 31/07/2009 at 1100 hrs accused Shameer, Shareef and Vijaya criminally trespassed in to the house and criminally restrained one Sevurin D Souza R/o Pulichandi Konaje village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and assaulted her by hand also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic West Police Station. On 03/08/2009 at 1630 hrs at Kottarachowki Mangalore one driver of Tata Ais bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-3665 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Santhosh K (38) R/o Kayyadi Karaya village Belthangady Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/08/2009 at 1730 hrs at Melkar junction Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-4432 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Mohandas (25) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/08/2009 at 1630 hrs at Subhashnagar Sajipamooda village Bantwal Taluk one Cyril Ivan Pinto rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-5965 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Prathika (07) R/o Subhashnagar Sajipamooda village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 01/08/2009 at 2300 hrs accused Siddarth, Darshan, Swamyman, Shravan, Rithesh, Somanna and others forming into unlawful assembly near R.B complex Marpadi village Moodabidre Mangalore Taluk and assaulted one Shamir (19) R/o Hiriyadka Udupi District by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 03/08/2009 at 1400 hrs accused one Lingaraju abused Chennappa M.A. (65) R/o Meldthale Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk and his wife Susheela near their house in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Affray has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 04/08/2009 at 2200 hrs accused Ashok Kumar (38), Santhosh Kumar (42), Vinod (30) and Appu (52) all residents of Kasaragod District Keral State picked up quarrel and started fighting over a trivial issue in public place near Nisarga Bar at Talapady Mangalore Taluk. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray.
  • A case of Kidnapping has been registered in Sullia Police Station relating to kidnapping of one Thara (16) D/o Karunakara Gowda R/o Banjikodi Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk by Ramesh. The said Thara was gone to Sullia on 01/08/2009 at 0930 hrs and found missing from since. Now as it is confirmed that she has been lured away by Ramesh, the case has been converting to kidnapping.
  • A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 04/08/2009 at 1430 hrs at Abhiman construction Yeyyadi Mangalore Taluk one Pankaj Roy R/o Barbata village Chattisgar State while walking iron rod accidentally collapsed over him due to the negligence of Rathnakar Kulal, Ramanna and Hemanth and got serious injuries and died on the spot.

  • A case under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 31/07/2009 at 1100 hrs accused one Sevarin D Souza abused one Vijaya R/o Pulinchadi Konaje village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language referring to his caste near his house and also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 1200 hrs and 1230 hrs of 04/08/2009 one Devappa Moolya R/o Sulliapadavu Padumannuru village Puttur Taluk while working near railway station at Surathkal Idya village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell down and died on the spot. The death seems to be due some illness.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 04/08/2009 at 1200 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 40-45 yrs was found near Snanghatta Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk. It seems to be a case of suicide by consuming poison.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 03/08/2009 at 1630 hrs one Ganesha Malekudiya (35) R/o Kullal Chennaithodi village Bantwal Taluk while walking accidentally slipped into pond near his house and died due drowning.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Girl missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 0830 hrs and 1200 hrs of 04/08/2009 one Nilofar (21) R/o Chetanagar Kumpala Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk went out from her house and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
