- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic Eat Police Station. On 08/08/2009 at 2140 hrs near Mahaveera circle at Mangalore one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5029 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-6327 driven by Manoj Kumar (30) R/o Bajal Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No causality reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 09/08/2009 at 1300 hrs near Mosque at Boliyaru village Mangalore Taluk one Riyaz rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-8601 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Seripamma (47) R/o Nalikedagudde Boliyaru village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.

On 09/08/2009 at 0745 hrs on NH 17 near petrol bunk at Mukka Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk one Nagaraj Bhat rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-3766 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-2208. As a result motorcycle rider Nagaraj Bhat and Santhosh Devadiga (19) R/o Kolnadu Mulki Mangalore Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

One Nonayya Moolya (70) R/o Arkula Thuppekallu Adyaru village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into a well near his house while walking in between 1400 hrs of 07/08/2009 and 1200 hrs of 09/08/2009 and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. In between 1530 hrs and 1545 hrs of 09/08/2009 one Victor Jose Fernandes (50) R/o Tharigudde Chikkamudnoor village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/08/2009 at 1100 hrs one Ranjitha R/o Golithottu Kanyadi village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/07/2009 at 1100 hrs one Daru (85) R/o Devinagar Talapady village Mangalore Taluk sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light a Kerosene lamp in her house. She was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 09/08/2009 at 0300 hrs.
