Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 2300 hrs of 04/08/2009 and 0700 hrs of 05/08/2009 some unknown persons committed theft of an Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-04-MB-3201 belonging to one Manjunatha M (57) R/o Kannur Mangalore, which was parked in front of his house. The Indica car is worth Rs. 2,50,000/.

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 05/08/2009 at 1515 hrs at Mali Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk one Jubair driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KL-03-C-6168 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which jeep capsized. As a result Ayeeshabi and other passengers who were traveling in the said jeep sustained serious injuries. Further they were admitted to hospital where one Ayeeshabi succumbed to her injuries while under treatment at same day.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 05/08/2009 at 2030 hrs near Tharethota at Mangalore one driver of Pick Up vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-384 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-2242. As a result motorcycle rider one Mohan Poojary (41) R/o Badaga Belloor Bantwal Town sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 05/08/2009 at 0805 hrs at Pumpwell Mangalore one Rathan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-2804 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Adam (19) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/08/2009 at 1415 hrs near Abbakka Circle at Ullal Mangalore one Appayya driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KL-13-M-8657 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-655. As a result auto rickshaw driver Muneef (33) and Nishad (04) who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 04/08/2009 at 1845 hrs near Saradka Kepu village Bantwal Taluk one Satheesh Kumar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-19-967 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Chandrashekara a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 01/08/2009 at 2300 hrs accused Bharath, Sujith, Sunil, Chethan and 3 other persons forming into unlawful assembly near bus stand at Moodabidre Marpady village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Mohammed Ali (23) R/o Mundkur village Karkala Taluk and abused him filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to previous enmity.

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 04/08/2009 at 1730 hrs accused one Thimmappa Poojary abused one Subramanya in filthy language at Melinapete Bellare village Sullia Taluk and assaulted him with knife owing to civil dispute between them.
