- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 2010 hrs of 24/08/2009 and 0630 hrs of 25/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sky Communication Mobile shop at Central Market Mangalore belonging to one Kishore Kumar (40) R/o Mannagudda Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of mobile phones and Currency recharge coupons all in worth Rs. 86,800/.

- A case under Attempt to commit theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On the intervening night of 24-25/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the ICICI Bank at P.M. road Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and attempted to committed theft.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 26/08/2009 at 1100 hrs at Poorlipady Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one Dharnappa driver of lorry bearing Reg. No.KA-19-B-4219 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Swift car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-MA-9188. As a result Swift car driver Balasubramanya sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Susheela and other passengers who were traveling in the said Swift car sustained serious injuries and admitted to A.J. Hospital at Mangalore where in Susheela succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on the same day.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 25/08/2009 at 0915 hrs near Bunts Hostel at Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-6627 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-6684. As a result motorcycle rider Amaranath Shetty K.N. (64) R/o Bikarnakatte Mangalore and Mousami pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 24/08/2009 at 1530 hrs at Kumpala cross Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk one Sunny K.V. rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-K-219 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a lorry bearing Reg. No. MH-20-AT-7904. As a result one Gangadhara (39) R/o Uppala Kerala State pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 24/08/2009 at 1400 hrs at Sonangeri Jalsoor village Sullia Taluk one Bhuvaneshwara driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-C-7033 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-5865. As a result car driver Sulaiman, Chennakeshava, Kumara, Narayana and Ganesh (52) R/o Sullia Town who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

On 14/08/2009 accused Satheesha K, Sathisha Komba, Sathish Hegde and Rathnakara Acharya criminally restrained one Janardhana Poojary R/o Darkas village Belthangady Taluk at Nandibetta Gadardy village Belthangady Taluk and abused him filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to financial issue between them.
- A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Venoor Police Station. In between 2200 hrs and 2330 hrs of 24/08/2009 accused two unknown persons criminally restrained one Akshayaraj at Kuppada Naravi village Belthangady Taluk and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
