- A case under Criminal restraint, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Outrage the modesty of woman, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 19/08/2009 at 1800 hrs accused Isaq, Hanif, Samadh and Hussain criminally restrained one Asiya (46) R/o Parimaru Pudu village Bantwal Taluk and abused her in filthy language and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her hand and assaulted her by hand also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 20/08/2009 at 1400 hrs on NH 48 at Basthi Konalu village Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-01-Z-235 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-K-2578. As a result rider of motorcycle Raju @ Sebastian (37) and pillion rider one Jobin sustained grievous injuries. Further Raju @ Sebastian succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic West Police Station. On 16/08/2009 at 2100 hrs at Bundar Mangalore one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-8655 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Fathima (51) R/o Beebi Alabi Road Bandar Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 19/08/2009 at 1130 hrs on NH 17 near Kuntikana Mangalore one unknown driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7893 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Innova car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-749 driven by one Praveen (38) R/o Kurndau village Bantwal Taluk. As a result the car got damaged. No causalities reported. Further the lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic East Police Station. On 19/08/2009 at 1730 hrs at Kankanady Junction Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6377 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one John Crastha (73) R/o Neerumarga Pedumale Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 20/08/2009 at 2000 hrs at Boliyaru cross Kurnadu village Bantwal Taluk one Jayarama driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1909 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-3342. As a result one Yusuf U.S (45) R/o Mudipu Kairangala village Bantwal Taluk driver of jeep sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 20/08/2009 at 0800 hrs at Kumbra Thingaladi village Puttur Taluk Taluk one Hanumanthappa driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No KA-21-F-2209 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Manjesh Rai who was travelling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Ruarl Police Station. On 18/08/2009 at 1330 hrs at Kumbra Olamogru village Puttur Taluk one rider of autorickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8540 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Adru a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 1530 hrs and 1730 hrs of 20/08/2009 one Irine Pinto (48) R/o Mitthabailu Putthige village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 19/08/2009 at 2145 hrs one Precilla D’ Souza (20) R/o Kavinamoole Bellare village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by jumping into a pond near her house owing to personal problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 08/08/2009 at 1000 hrs one Ismail (60) R/o K.C Road Talapady village Mangalore Taluk left his house and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
