- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. In between 13/08/2009 and 15/08/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Shekara Bhandary (65) R/o near Marikambha Temple Maroli village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of cash Rs.15, 000 and gold ornaments all in worth 1,05,000/.

- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 15/08/2009 at 1330 hrs accused one Kishore abused one Indira (70) R/o Kulashekara Mangalore in filthy language in the Novelty Shop at Central Market Mangalore and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Traffic West Police Station. On 13/08/2009 at 0600 hrs near Marigudi Temple at Urwamarket Mangalore one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-344 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Electric pole due which Electric pole got damaged. The damage caused is about Rs. 10,850/. No causality reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 18/08/2009 at 1500 hrs near Honnakatte junction at Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Muniya driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. AP-13-T-7207 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-KA-19-AD-4959. As a result Murugan R/o Koorikatte Mangalore who was traveling in the said lorry sustained simple injuries.

On 15/08/2009 at 1030 hrs at Ketthikallu Thiruvailu village Mangalore Taluk one Krishna Moily driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2811 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Yashawantha (20) R/o Thiruvailu village Mangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 11/08/2009 at 2030 hrs at Mavinakatte Moodukonaje village Mangalore Taluk one Santhosh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-8948 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Seetharama Rao (40) R/o Moodukonaje village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 15/08/2009 at 1130 hrs at Chende Balthila village Bantwal Taluk one Manoj rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-9525 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Leelavathi (35) a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.

On 15/08/2009 at 2100 hrs accused Sumesha, Rangaganesha and Sandeepa criminally restrained Jeevan (21) and Rakesh R/o Moorukatte Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk near their house and abused them in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and with knief owing to trivial issue.

On 15/08/2009 at 1030 hrs on credible information PI Puttur Town PS along with his staff conducted raid on Hotel Celebration at Kallare Kasba village Puttur Taluk and arrested Udaya P. (38) R/o Palakkadu District Kerala State and Laxmi (28) R/o Madikeri Disrict who were soliciting for prostitution there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 14/08/2009 at 2030 hrs one Dombayya Kulal (41) R/o Acharikodi Amtoor village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into a well near his house while taking water from the well and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 11/08/2007 at 1430 hrs one Ciril D’ Souza (45) R/o Majalabettu Pilya village Belthangady Taluk accidentally fell from the tree while cutting tree branch near his house and got serious injuries and he was admitted to Fr Muller hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 15/08/2009 at 0915 hrs.
