A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 09/08/2009 at 1730 hrs on credible information PSI (L&O) Ullal PS, PSI (Crime) Ullal PS, PSI (L&O) Mangalore Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid on public place at Kondana Nadukumeeru Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk and seized 12 cocks and cash Rs. 2,600/ and a auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-0572 by arresting Rajesh Poojary (25), Naveen Poojary (29), Vasantha Shetty (48), Babu Poojary (55) and Guruva (45) who were indulged in betting on cock fighting.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Ullal PS U/s 87, 93 of the Karnataka Police Act.
