- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 27/08/2009 at 2045 hrs near Bus stand at Sajipamooda village Bantwal Taluk one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-20-C-1380 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result auto rickshaw driver and Juber R/o Kallady Gooli Sajipa Mooda village Bantwal Taluk who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Woman missing has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. One Nagalaxmi (28) W/o Venugopal Bhat R/o Ramanagara Padnoor village Puttur Taluk left her house on 27/08/2009 at 0600 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
