- A case under Cruelty by Husband and relatives, Dowry Prohibition Act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Women Police Station on the complaint of Joyces Mamatha (25) W/o Noyal David Suvarna R/o Kadekar 1st cross Jappina Mogaru Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Noyal David Suvarna (husband) and his relatives Victor Suvarna and Dolly gave physical and mental harassment to Joyces Mamatha to bring more dowry and also gave life threat to her.
- A case under Cruelty by Husband and relatives, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt, Dowry Prohibition Act along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station on the complaint of Shilpa (27) W/o Krishna H. Gowda R/o 2nd main Lohith Nagara Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Krishna H. Gowda (husband) and his relatives Honnappa Gowda, Jayamma, Prabha, Geetha and Savitha abused Shilpa in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and gave physical and mental harassment to Shilpa to bring more dowry and also gave life threat to her.

On 05/08/2009 at 2015 hrs accused one Ashraf criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Fouzia (19) W/o Afeel R/o Berike Noojibalthila village Puttur Taluk and assaulted her and her relatives Fathima, Ayeesha Baby, Maimuna and Hasainar with sword and tried to kill them. The motive seems to be previous enmity between Fouzia and accused person.

On 06/08/2009 at 1300 hrs near Baliga Stores at Bejai Mangalore one Vinod Kumar passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7090 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

On 05/08/2009 at 1245 hrs at Ninna Kallu Herebandady village Puttur Taluk one Dharnappa driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-12-4062 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6084. As a result motorcycle rider one Sulaiman (38) R/o Herebandady village Puttur Taluk sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-C-3577 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Ayeeshamma (55) a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 06/08/2009 at 1330 hrs at Renja junction at Puttur Town one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-6563 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against pedestrians Sunai and Pallavi and caused them simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 06/08/2009 at 1900 hrs at Panaje Puttur Taluk one unknown jeep driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Dinesha R/o Bettampady village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The unknown jeep driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 1400 hrs and 1700 hrs of 05/08/2009 one Hemavathi (56) R/o Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to health problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Chandrashekara R/o Nandara Bettu Bantwal Town went to Fr. Muller’s Hospital at Mangalore on 03/08/2009 and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
