- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 24/09/2006 at 1730 hrs near Mukrampady Kemminje village Puttur Taluk one Selvan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg, No. CTX-5380 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4741. As a result one Kuttan K.P. (60) R/o Ananda Ashrama Puttur Taluk a passenger in the auto rickshaw and motorcycle rider Selvan sustained simple injures.

On 25/09/2006 at 0705 hrs on NH 17 at Gollachil Derebail village Mangalore Taluk one Harish Udupa dirver of Tata Qualis car bearing Reg. No. MH-24-C-3011 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2773. As a result motorcycle rider Thyagaraj (20) R/o Gollachil Derebail village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider Babu Poojary (his father) sustained grievous injuries.

On 24/09/2006 at 1300 hrs on NH 13 at Ganjimatta Bajpe Mangalore Taluk one Dharanedra driver of Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-3466 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which he lost control over the vehicle and dashed to a compound wall of one Mariyambi. As a result one Vijaya Devadiga R/o Kaikamba Muduperare village Mangalore Taluk who was in the said car sustained simple injuries. The car got damaged.

On 06/09/2006 at 1400 hrs one Ramesh Shetty (52) R/o Majjibalu house Badaga Bellur village consumed poison at his house owing to health problem. He was admitted to Wenlock Hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment on 24/09/2006 at 0900 hrs.

One Juraid (03) R/o Berike house Bettampady village Puttur Taluk accidentally consumed poison on 20/09/2006 in his house. He was admitted and treated at Private hospital Puttur. On 24/09/2006 at 1300 hrs Juraid suddenly fell ill at his house and he was admitted to Govt hospital at Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment.
