Three Arrested In Vidhyadhar Jain Murder Case

Three persons have been arrested by the Belthangady Police in connection with the murder of Vidhyadhar Jain a Gram Panchayat member of Rai Gram Panchayat Bantwal taluk who was found murderd on the evening of 28/08/06 at Kannadi Katte of Padangadi village Belthangady taluk. The names of the arrested are:
1. Pradeep (26) R/o Padangadi village
2. Vitesh (26) R/o Padangady village
3. Prashant (18) R/o Padangady village
All the three were arrested yesterday morning (31/08/06) from Mangalore. On their interrogation, police have recovered a Khukhri (knife) and other imlements that the accused had used in the commission of this offence. Further all the three accused have been produced before JMFC Belthangady today (01/09/06) and taken for three days of police custody for further interrogation and investigation.
The Police have also recovered a Tata pickup van that the accused had used to commit the offence.
Police are still on the lookout for the remaining accused in this case.
