- A case under Outraging the modesty of woman, Criminal Trespass along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 25/09/2006 at 1700 hrs accused Balakrishna Shetty, Chandra both residents of Kujumagadde Kumpala Someshwara village criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Ramesh R/oUllal village and abused him in filthy language and outraged the modesty of his wife Shantha by pulling her dress and assaulted them by hand and iron rod and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be financial dispute between accused and Ramesh.
- A case of Cruelty by Husband and Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station on the complaint of one Helen (26) w/o Ivan Menezas R/o Balathota house Perne village Bantwal Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that her husband Ivan Menezes and his brother Charlie Menezes gave physical and mental harassment to her to bring more dowry and on 23/09/2006 at 2030 hrs accused Charlie Menezes assaulted her by hand due which she got injured.

On 24/09/2006 at 1930 hrs near Chilimbi Urwastore one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Devaraj (32) R/o Kadavigere village Hosadugra Taluk Chitradurga district a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

Nayak Hall Kadri Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-6695 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-U-1168. As a result the motorcycle rider Rajesh Kamath and pillion rider Sriraj (21) R/o Bejai Kapikad Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

As a result Scooter rider one Sanjeeva (47) R/o Kulai Hosabettu Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider his wife Lakshmi sustained grievous injuries. The Lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 24/09/2006 at 1730 hrs at Kalladka Golthamajalu village Bantwal Taluk one unknown Tata Sumo driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider one Mohammed Mustafa (16) R/o D.K. Nagar Kalladka sustained simple injuries. The Tata sumo driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

Dharmadas (26) R/o Tippu Sulthan Nagar Belgam driver of Lorry sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-21-3512 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-5703. As a result scooter rider one Santhosh sustained grievous injuries.

On 25/09/2006 at 1700 hrs while enquiring into a passport application Ullal Police found that one Ahamed Bhava (32) R/o Mundevu house Ganji Mata Mangalore Taluk has applied for Passport in the name of one Hammabba S/o Gulam Byari house No. 2-7/19 Kodi Barka sea road Ullal as he hadcriminal cases registered against hi in Moodbidre PS. It was also found that one U.K. Ibrahim (46) R/o Shameer Compound Ullal village Mangalore Taluk had supported him for applying for this Passport. Hence a case has been registered against Ahmed Bhava and Ibrahim.

On 25/06/2006 at 1751 hrs one Victor Bruzo Patner of M.S Indtex Industries abused one Shailesh Kumar (38) R/o Nithyananda Nagara Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and gave life threat to him over phone. The motive seems to be financial dispute.

- A case under section 292 (A) (B) IPC (pertaining to sale of obscene books) has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 25/09/2006 at 1615 hrs by PSI Mangalore South PS on specific information apprehended two persons from Kerala who were trying to sell obscene books in malayalam language at Service bus stand Mangalore city. The police arrested the duo and seized all the obscene books from their possession. The names of the persons arrested are Sudeesh (23) R/o Hosadurga Kasargod Kerala and Rathish (25) R/o Hosadurga Kasargod Kerala.

- A Woman missing case has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 14/08/2006 at 0800 hrs one Kamala (32) R/o Kumpala Ashraya Colony Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk went to Babukatte Printing Press for work and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
