- A case of burglary has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 28/09/2006 in between 0845 hrs and 1800 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Anantha Padmanabha B. (53) R/o Biravu Karinje village Moodabidre Taluk by breaking front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 26,500/ all in worth Rs. 66,500/.

There upon he refused to marry her.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 29/09/2006 at 0900 hrs one Jayaramakrishna Devadiga (53) R/o Bhandaribettu Bantwal Taluk employee of Telecom became seriously ill while returning to his house in an auto rickshaw. He was admitted to Govt hospital at Bantwal where he was declared dead.
