- A case of Burglary has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 2345 hrs of 02/05/2009 and 0530 hrs of 03/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Prashantha Rai (45) R/o Aranthabail Golithottu village Puttur Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 10,000/. all in worth Rs. 60,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 1500 hrs on NH 17 at Yekkuru Kankanady village Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MH-09-L-6696 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-2894. As a result car driver one Dharmapala sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. Further Anusuya (33) R/o Thotabengre Mangalore, Shree Vidhya, Nishchitha, Geetha Jayanth, Manjula, Smitha and Amitha who traveling in the said car sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station where in one Rama Kotian (45) R/o Mukka Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 03/05/2009 at 1845 hrs. The said Rama Kotian was seriously injured by a lorry in a road traffic accident on 01/05/2009 1030 hrs on NH 17 near NITK guest house Surathkal village Mangalore and admitted to the A.J Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Surathkal Police Station.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 1200 hrs on NH 17 at Kukkadi house Kulai village Mangalore Taluk one Ashraf rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Y-6582 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Nemu Shetty B (62) R/o Janatha colony Idya village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries and died on the spot. Further motorcycle rider also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 1400 hrs at Bandasale Amturu village Bantwal Taluk one Hemanatha driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-5457 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2726. As a result Sunadra Gowda pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. Further jeep driver lost his control over the vehicle and collided against one Purushothama a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Where in one Sunadra Gowda succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1615 hrs.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 0915 hrs at Kukkaje Maila village Bantwal Taluk one Suresh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-B-5143 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Suresh sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.

No. KA-18-A-5115 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Afiya (8) R/o 10th mail Pudu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 1645 hrs at Vagga Kavalapaduru village Bantwal Taluk one Richard driver of Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4119 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4636. As a result motorcycle rider Yogish Acharya R/o Ajilamogaru Maninalkooru village Bantwal Taluk sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 02/05/2009 at 1730 hrs on NH 48 at Udane Shiradi village Puttur Taluk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-9638 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-A-3195 driven by one Megharaj (44) R/o Gadaga District. As a result both lorry drivers sustained simple injuries.

No. AP-02-W-3112 by pelting stones.
