In between 1200 hrs of 03/05/2009 and 1900 hrs of 04/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Dr. Ganapathy Hegde A (59) R/o Chaithanya Apartments Alake Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 2,50,000/.

In between 1600 hrs of 29/04/2009 and 1400 hrs of 01/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Therza Bukello (70) R/o Shankarakodi Shambhooru village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of spray pumps (2), a copper vessel, coconut (500) and arecanut (25 bags) all in worth Rs. 73,950/.

No. KA-20-B-1035 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5262 from behind. As a result auto rickshaw driver Ummar Farooq K (23) R/o Ulaibettu Gurupura Mangalore and passengers of the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries. Further driver of bus escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 04/05/2009 at 1600 hrs one Shruthi (13) R/o Merla Kaliya village Belthangdy Taluk accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Dharkasu Kaliya village Belthandgy Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
