- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 2000 hrs of 23/04/2009 and 1030 hrs of 29/04/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Bhavani (34) R/o Babugudde Attavara Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 24,000/ and cash Rs. 600/.
- A case of Burglary has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 1700 hrs of 29/04/2009 and 0800 hrs of 01/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry in to the Sadhguru Agencies at Baikampadi Mangalore belonging to one Muralidhara Remani (65) R/o Bendoor Mangalore by breaking the shetter lock and committed theft of 55 arecanut bags (each 65 kgs) worth Rs. 2,00,000/.

- A case of Ordinary theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 01/05/2009 at 1130 hrs accused one Ismail K (30) R/o Kayimana Belanduru village Puttur Taluk committed a theft of arecanut (20 Kgs) belonging to one Ganesh Gowda N (23) R/o Nirpaje Bannuru village Puttur Taluk. Further the accused was caught red hand by the public and handed over to the Police. The total value of stolen property is Rs.1, 400/.

On 30/04/2009 at 2130 hrs accused Kumara, Ambuja, Ananda @ Ramaswamy, Malarvili, Amara and Mugeshwari all residents of CRC colony Ivaranadu village Sullia Taluk forming in to an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed in to the land belonging one Amuda (26) R/o Darkasthu Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk and assaulted her and her mother in-law by pelting and also gave life threat to them owing to political issue.

On 01/05/2009 at 1030 hrs on NH 17 near NITK guest house at Surathkal Mangalore one Nandesh driver Lorry drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Rama Kotian R/o Mukka Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 02/05/2009 at 0710 hrs at Haleyangadi junction Mangalore Taluk one Anwar driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-1111 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-3427 driven by Dinesh (32) R/o Sampila Ira village Bantwal Taluk. As a result Mariyamma and Sunitha who were travelling in the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-1111 sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 30/04/2009 at 1230 hrs at Kemaru Paladka village Mangalore Taluk one Dinakar Shetty driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-467 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the auto capsized. As a result Jaji (80) Mudayibettu Paladka village Mangalore Taluk and Sanjeevi who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 01/05/2009 at 0800 hrs at Keduru Cheluru village Bantwal Taluk one Siraj driver of Bolero jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-Z-3202 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the jeep capsized. As a result Shivappa (50) R/o Bedralli Bantwal Taluk, Laxmi, Mutthu and Sharadha who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 30/04/2009 at 0330 hrs at Gundya Shiradi village Belthangady Taluk one Mahesh driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-06-B-5925 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due which the lorry capsized. As a result Thippeswamy (30) R/o Ponnenahalli Shiradi village Belthangady Taluk cleaner of the said lorry and Mahesh driver of the said lorry sustained grievous injuries.

On 30/04/2009 at 1930 hrs accused Dana, Gangadhara Rai, Mohan, Subramanya, Nataraja, Sundaralingam, Soorya, Kunhi @ Lokanatha, Joseph, Mohana and 10-15 other unknown persons forming in to an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Ambuja R/o CRC colony at Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk and abused her in filthy language referring to her caste and damaged the house and car bearing Reg. No. KA-12-5952 by pelting stones. Further they tried to kill Malarkodiya who came to help Ambuja by assaulting her with sickle owing to political issue.

In between 1700 hrs and 2345 hrs of 30/04/2009 hrs accused Udaya, Yogisha, Shravan, Praveen and Chandrahasa abused one Ashoka K R/o Kottanja Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to political issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 02/05/2009 at 0630 hrs accused Anthappa, Shankar, Puttanna and Thaniyappa abused one Venkappa (30) R/o Padpu Kuriya village Puttur Taluk in filthy language near his house and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick they also assaulted Balappa, Sundari, Angare and Bhagirathi who came to help Venkapppa owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 30/04/2009 at 1145 hrs at NITK campus Surathkal Mangalore one Deepak (21) while working accidentally fell down from the 6th floor of Megha hostel building and seriously injured. Further he was admitted to A.J hospital at Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1610 hrs.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/05/2009 at 1200 hrs Hemalatha (16) and Revathi (24) both residence of Kudhanegudde Bantwal Town accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Kedige Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 1730 hrs of 30/04/2009 and 01/05/2009 one Honnamma (82) R/o Putya Thodikana village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by jumping into a well near her house owing to health problem and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 01/05/2009 at 1500 hrs one Naveena (22) R/o Vinobanagara Jaalsuru village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming some poison in his house owing to financial problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 30/04/2009 at 1200 hrs one Raji (25) accidentally fell down from a tree while cutting the branches of the tree and got serious injuries at Pailaru Amaramudnuru village Sullia Taluk. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on the same day at 1730 hrs.
