In between 1800 hrs of 13/05/2009 and 0730 hrs of 14/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Sadhananda Shetty (58) R/o Hunsebettu Eliyanadugodu village Bantwal Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of gold And cash Rs. 30,000/. The total value of stolen property is Rs. 3, 00,000/.

No. KA-21-J-2308 belonging to one Sathyanarayana Bhat (46) R/o Koppalu Kokkada village Belthangady Taluk that was parked near the parking place at Kokkada village Belthangady Taluk. The moped is worth Rs. 15, 000/.

- A case under Cheating along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station where in it is alleged that accused one Shashidhara Maniyani (26) R/o Ponyathalka Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk had sexual intimacy with one twenty two year old girl of Kurunja Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk by promising to marry her. There upon he refused to marry her and cheated her and he along with Sundara Maniyani, Shivarama Maniyani and Saraswathi all residence of Ponyathalka Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk gave life threat to her.

The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-19-M-3076 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against an Alto car driven by one Sundara Moolya (47) R/o Ambodimaru Kadandhale village Mangalore Taluk. As a result both the vehicles damaged. No casualty reported.

As a result motorcycle rider one Bharath Patel sustained grievous injuries.

On 13/05/2009 at 0200 hrs WPI Women PS on rounds arrested Jayashree (18) R/o Panjimogru Mangalore, Ramya (24) R/o Ujire, Kishore D Sreja, Harish (25) R/o Panjimogru Mangalore and Pramodh (32) R/o Panjimogru Mangalore who were soliciting for prostitution at public place near Kulal Bhavan Mangaladevi Mangalore.
- A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 13/05/2008 at 2015 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on a open place at Mahendra Nrayana compound Sullia Town. At the time of raid Police found 11 persons playing “Ander- Bahar” with cards. The Police seized cash Rs.11, 037/ and playing cards from the spot by arresting Majid, Pradeep K, Kiran Kumar, Ibrahim, Mahammad, Ibrahim, Yashawantha, Hariprasad, Chandrashekar, Sathish and Ganesh K who were indulged in gambling.

In between 1030 hrs and 1630 hrs of 13/05/2009 one Sulochana (19) R/o Karwar District who was working as a house maid in the house of one Narendra Nayak R/o Mannagudde Mangalore committed suicide by hanging near the house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 13/05/2009 at 1500 hrs one Thilanjana (32) R/o Marakada Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 0900 hrs and 1200 hrs of 13/05/2009 one Ravi Pillai (55) was found dead near Snehanagar Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be due to heavy drunkenness.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangadi Police Station. On 13/05/2009 at 1600 hrs Shilpa (13) R/o Madivala Biliyuru village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Kalanja Biliyuru village Bantwal Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 12/05/2009 at 0900 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 60 yrs was found near Sri Kukke Subramanya Temple at Subramnya village Sullia Taluk. The death seems to be some illness.
