- A case under Cruelty by Husband and relatives, Hurt, Criminal intimidation along with Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station on the complaint of Amina (22) w/o Ashraf R/o Palligudde Ivathoklu village Sullia Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Ashraf (husband) and his relatives Moidu Kunhi and Mariyamma gave physical and mental harassment to Amina to bring more dowry and also gave life threat to her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/05/2009 at 1815 hrs at Porankaje Nekkiladi village Puttur Taluk one Isubu driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-16-2448 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over the vehicle due the lorry capsized. As a result one Sharief (28) who was traveling in the said lorry sustained grievous injuries. Further Sharief succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/05/2009 at 1800 hrs on NH 48 at Periyashanthi Ichilampadi Puttur Taluk one unknown driver of Lorry drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-13-J-6233. As a result rider of motorcycle one Thirumalesh (25) R/o Shakleshpura Hassan District sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. Further pillion rider also sustained simple injuries.

On 04/05/2009 at 1345 hrs at bus stand at Chilimbi Mangalore one Anushri (13) D/o Ramesh U R/o Chilimbi Urwa Mangalore passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2499 while getting into the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which she fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 04/05/2009 at 1900 hrs at Madyangala Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk one Mohammed Iqbal driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-N-8271 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against another car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-N-8271. As a result driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-09-N-8271 Raghupathi (65) R/o Valwekulam Pondichery and his wife Krishnaveni sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 04/05/2009 at 1130 hrs at Padiyadka Aranthodu village Sullia Taluk one Babu driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-12-M-2942 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-1792. As a result motorcycle rider Rajesh G.C (22) R/o Gundimajalu Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries. Further driver of car escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. In between 2200 hrs of 03/05/2009 and 0300 hrs of 04/05/2009 one Somashekara accidentally slipped into the sea while he was working at Sea shore Panambur Mangalore Taluk and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. In between 1000 hrs of 01/05/2009 and 1300 hrs of 05/05/2009 one Krishnappa Naik (32) R/o papemajalu Ariyadka village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 05/05/2009 at 1000 hrs one Vishwantha Poojary (53) R/o Abhira Belandhuru village Puttur Taluk accidentally fell down from a Palm tree at Karladi Kudmaru village Puttur Taluk while removing toddy and got seriously injuries and died on spot.
