Daily Crime Incidents for May 21, 2009

The following are the crimes reported in D. K. District during the last 24 hrs as at 1600 hrs on 21/05/2009.

  • A case of Burglary along with Robbery has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 21/05/2009 at 0310 hrs accused one unknown person aged about 20-30 years gained entry into the house belonging to one Savithri (48) R/o Padmashree Haleyangadi village Mangalore Taluk and committed a theft of gold ornaments and then he snatched the gold chain from the neck of Savithri while she was sleeping and ran away with that. The total value of property taken away was estimated to be Rs. 70,000/.

  • A case of Burglary along with Robbery has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 21/05/2009 at 0100 hrs accused one unknown person aged about 20-30 years gained entry into the house belonging to one Kalyani (52) R/o Thoudalacchil Haleyangadi village Mangalore Taluk and snatched the gold chain from the neck of Kalyani while she was sleeping and ran away with that. The total value of property taken away was estimated to be Rs. 55,000/.

Burglary: 01

  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On the intervening night of 19-20/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Rama Moolya (40) R/o Paneer site Deralakatte Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 2,500/.

  • A case under Attempt to commit theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On the intervening night of 19-20/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Rahamaniya Jumma Mosque at Paneer Kotekar village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and attempted to committed theft.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 02

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 1600 hrs and 1700 hrs of 15/05/2009 some unknown culprits committed a theft of Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2232 belonging to one Maichal D Souza (29) R/o Kalkatta Manjanady village Mangalore Taluk that was parked near the parking place near DC Office at Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 37, 000/.

  • A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In between 2200 hrs of 09/05/2009 and 0815 hrs of 10/05/2009 some unknown culprits committed a theft of Hero Honda motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-5128 belonging to one Anantha Gowda K (54) R/o Meryhill Konchady Mangalore that was parked near Anchan bar at Mallikatte Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 8, 000/.

  • A case under Rioting, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief of causing damage along with Prevention of destruction & loss of property Act 1981 has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 20/05/2009 at 2000 hrs accused Tangur Adam, Pujile Abubakkar, Shakeer Shanthiyangadi, Sawrees, Chotte Shareef, Palla Adam and Basale Adam forming into an unlawful assembly entered into the TAM Fruit Stall at BC road Bantwal Taluk belonging to one Abdul Rawoof and abused his brother Mohammed Sadiq (24) R/o Mooda village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with deadly weapons and also damaged the showcase glass. The damage caused is 25,000/.

  • A case under Rioting, Hurt, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 20/05/2009 at 2000 hrs accused Abdul Rawoof, Majeed, Sadiq, Razak and Mubarak forming into an unlawful assembly at TAM Fruit Stall at BC road Bantwal Taluk and abused S Abubakkar (48) R/o Mooda village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with deadly weapons and also gave life threat to him owing to family dispute.
