In between 1130 hrs of 02/05/2009 and 1900 hrs of 05/05/2009 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Premalatha Silvia D’ Costa R/o Children Garden Laila village Belthangdy Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed a theft of a TV, one gas cylinder, gold ornaments, ATM card and bank passbook worth Rs. 24,000/.

On 05/05/2009 at 1045 hrs one unknown culprit committed theft of a Laptop computer that was kept inside the car belonging to one Amoulragdi Gerard R/o Chennai Tamil Nadu Satate which was parked in the premise of Milagris church at Hampankatte Mangalore. The value of stolen property is worth Rs. 40,000/.

No. KA-19-A-2499 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and collided against one Padhmanabha Kamath a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further driver of bus escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 03/05/2009 at 1800 one Nikhitha (03) D/o Baby R/o Kolya Sajipamooda village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into a well near her house while playing and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/05/2009 at 1130 hrs one Koosappa Poojary (55) R/o Dadukodi Kadeshivalaya Bantwal Taluk accidentally fell down from a Palm tree at Anningala Kadeshivalaya Bantwal Taluk while removing toddy and got seriously injuries. Further Koosappa Poojary succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
