- A case of theft has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 29/07/2006 in between 1115 hrs to 1130 hrs one Vishal (25) came to the house of Veerappa Das, Shri Srinivas Krupa, Pakshikere Mangalore Taluk and stole a gold chain wroth Rs. 7,000/.
- A case of house theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. Some unknown culprits in between 28/07/2006 and 31/07/2006 gained entry into the house of Mohini B. T. (36) Prabhu compound Laila village Bethangady Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments, Bank account book and other things in all worth Rs. 23,000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Modabidre Police Station. On 01/08/2006 at 0015 hrs at Alangaru Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk one Venu K (23) rider of motorcycle bearing Reg.No. KA-19-U-2386 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over it. As a result the motorcycle capsized. Venu K the rider was injured seriously and died on the way to Hospital and pillion rider Nagaraj (22) sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 30/07/2006 at 1100 hrs at Jodumarga (Shantigodu) Purusharakatte Puttur Taluk one Nagesh Nayak driver of Maruti omini Van bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-4252 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to Rabhir (05) a pedestrian and caused simple injuries.

- A case of hurt has been registered in North Police Station. On 31/07/2006 at 2300 hrs in front of Shekar & Co. Mangalore one Manju abused one Jayarama (27) of Amtur village Bantwal in filthy language and also assaulted with a stone over a trivial issue.
- A case of wrongful restraint and hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. One Rafiq abused Abul Kadar Ashif (37) in filthy language and assaulted him and his brothers Haneef and Zakariya with wooden stick owing to civil dispute.
- A case of attempt to commit suicide has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 30/07/2006 at 0945 hrs one Nebisa (26) w/o S. Abdulla, Hosamajlu Koukardi village Puttur Taluk came to the house of one Balakrishna (33) Banjalu House Koukrady village Puttur Taluk and asked him why he has given information to the Police about her husband's involment in a theft case and then she attempted to committe suicide by jumping into the well with an intention of sending Balakrishna to jail.
- A case under Excise Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 31/07/2006 at 1645 PSI Uppinangady PS on credible information conducted a raid and seized 100 illegal arrack sachets worth Rs.350/ from Sathisha (24) at Lavathadka of Ichalmpady vilage
- A case of unnatural death has been registered in Sullia Police Station. One Babu Patali (51) R/o Ubaradkamittur villagae Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house in between 31/07/2006 and 01/08/2006 owing to financial problems.
- A case of woman and child missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Shobha (23) w/o Amaranath, Gandhinagar Ullal village Mangalore Taluk left her house on 22/07/2006 with her children Abhilash (07) and Akshitha (03) and there after did not return.
- A case of man missing has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 30/07/2006 one Ranjith Karkera ( 20) S/o Late Prabhakar Amin Sands Pitt, Bengre Mangalore was found missing while fishing along with Nishan, Sathish Kumar and Pawan in a boat at the Gurupura river. The boat capsized and while the other three swam to the shore, said Ranjith has not ben traced so far.
