• A case under theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. On the intervening night of 21-22/08/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry into Shalini Enclave building Mangalore by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of brass materials worth Rs.58,996/ belonging to one Naveen C/o N.V. Electricals Kodiyalbail Mangalore.

• A case of outraging the modesty of woman and wrongful confinement has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 20/08/2006 at 1600 hrs one Girsh (28) S/o Ravidra R/o Kotekaru village Magalore Taluk called one Akshitha (12) D/o Narayana Moolya R/o Bangambila Kotekar village, Mangalore Taluk to his house and tried to outrage her modesty by pulling her dress.
• Another similar case of outraging the modesty of woman has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 1900 hrs near Kumpala Someshwar village Mangalore Taluk one Sheik Kasim R/o Kumpala Bypass Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk insulted one Mehathab Yakub (33) W/o Yakub R/o Kumpala Bypass Someshwara village Mangalore and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station where in one Ramachandra Gowda S/o Devu Gowda (30) R/o Bettu house Mudanadugodu village Bantwal Taluk died while under treatment on 22/08/2006 at 1030 hrs. The said Ramachandra Gowda was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 20/05/2006 at 0800 hrs on NH 48 near Bedrodi Bajathur village Puttur Taluk and was admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Uppinangady Police Station.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 05/08/2006 at 1800 hrs near Syndicate Bank Light House Hill road Managalore Taluk the driver of car bearing Reg. No CNH 4499 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Adam (45) R/o Ammemar Farangipete Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 0700 hrs near Mahaveera Circle Mangalore driver of bus bearing Reg. No KA-19-AA-4433 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another bus bearing Reg. No KA-20-A-6294. As a result passengers in the bus bearing Reg.No KA-19-AA-4433 sustained simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 0945 hrs near SKF Factory Bannadka driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-4195 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-10-V-6205. As a result motorcycle rider Vadiraja Acharya (28) R/o Kellaputtige House Kellaputtige village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider Prabhakar Acharya (55) sustained simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 21/08/2006 at 1200 hrs on NH 13 at Kudupu Kudupu village Mangalore Taluk one Elvin Philip Thoras driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-8977 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-2903. As a result motorcycle rider Sandeep (21) R/o Adyar Kile House, near R.K. Building Adyar village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider Balakrishna sustained simple injuries.
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Staion. On 19/08/2006 a 1000 hrs one Kiran rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-K-989 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-6106. As a result motorcycle rider Abbas (38) R/o Uchila Baithulman Someshwar village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider Hajira W/o Abbas R/o Uchila Baithulman Someshwara village sustained grievous injuries.

• A case under the Prevention of Cow slaughter Act has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 23/08/2006 at 0145 hrs PSI Kadaba PS on credible information conducted raid on a rubber estate at Madyadka Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk belonging to one Augustin and seized 75 kgs of cow meat, two knives by arresting Thangachan (35) S/o Thomas Madyadka house Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk and Joman (23) S/o Mathai Madyadka house Kodimbala village Puttur Taluk.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 0945 hrs One Bhavani (29) W/o Nithyanda Acharya R/o Kayar Muger House Niddodi village Mangalore Taluk consumed poison in her house owing to health problem. She was admitted to Conscent Hospital at Kinnigoli where she was declared dead while under treatment on 22/08/2006 at 1340 hrs.
