  • A case under Robbery has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 23/08/2006 at 1100 hrs near Ashwatha Katte Pakshikere Kemral village Mangalore Taluk one unknown person aged about 26 to 30 years robbed a Mangalsuthra worth Rs.18,000/ from one Appi Belchadthi (70) W/o Sanjeeva Belchada R/o Guddemane Pakshikere Kemral village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted her with stone and escaped from the place.

  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On the intervening night of 20-21/08/2006 some unknown culprits committed theft of a motorcycle bearing Reg. No KA-19-R-9568 belonging to one Kavitha Bargava (39) R/o G3 LK apartment Caprigudde Mangalore which was parked in the said apartment.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 1830 hrs near Bejai new road one unknown driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3707 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-3788. As a result the motorcycle rider Padmanabha Acharya B (55) R/o Yashaswi Barebail Bejai Mangalore sustained grievous injuries. The driver of auto rickshaw escaped from the place without stopping the vehicle.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 1100 hrs near Lorettopadavu Bantwal Taluk one Shamir driver of autorikshaw bearing Reg. No KA-19-B-1668 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which the auto capsized. As a result one Vamana Poojary (55) who was travelling in the auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Cheating and Forgery has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. The alleged incident has occured in the month of October 05 where in one Dr. Anandraj DD, Rural Resource Research and Development Agency (RRRDA) Trust, Peruru Mahamalapuram Tamilnadu had given a forged Demand Draft for Rs. 63 Crore to one Fercival Fernandes (58) Managing Director of Style Fine Life Construction Pvt Ltd, to construct a residential complex at Nasik and Kilacheri.

On 19/08/2006 at 1030 hrs near Adamkudru Jappinamogaru village Mangalore Taluk one Ravi D’Souza criminally restrained one Roshan D’Souza (29) S/o Cyril D’Souza R/o Gate House Thokkotu Mangalore Taluk and assaulted by hand owing to financial matter.

  • A case of Hurt and criminal restraint along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 23/08/2006 at 1950 hrs near Ramdev complex 6th block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk accused Kalandar, Salam, Basheer, and another one criminally restrained Musthafa Ahamad (23) S/o Sayed B.M R/o 7th block site No 148 Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk and Ibrahim (21) and abused in filthy language and assaulted with a iron object owing to personal rivalry.

  • A case under intent to provoke breach of the peace and criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 1800 hrs at Janatha Bazar Branch Bala village Mangalore Taluk one Ramachandra Pai abused one Shanta R Vice President of Janatha Bazar Mangalore in filthy language and gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be that Shantha R inspected the Janatha Bazar Branch at Bala where accused and his wife Jayashri Pai were working and found out certain discrepancies.

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 22/08/2006 at 1430 hrs One Gulabi (29) W/o Basavaraj R/o Vivek nagara Kavoor Mangalore Taluk consumed poison in her house owing to personnel problem. She was admitted to Govt Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where she was declared dead while under treatment on 23/08/2006 at 0015 hrs.
