On the intervening night of 17/18-07-2006 some unknown persons had entered the BSNL Office located at Car street, Sullia town by breaking the Shutter lock and committed theft of a mobile phone, few sim cards, some currency recharge coupons and cash Rs.83,000/. In this connection a case of Burglary was registered in Sullia Police Station on 18/07/06 and investigation taken up by Mr.Vasanth Kumar CPI Sullia.
The Investigationg Officer with assistance of Sullia Police have now detected the case and one A.M.Aziz 19 yrs R/o Ajjavar vil Sullia taluk has been arrested on the morning of 03/08/06 from his house. The Police have recovered part of stolen cash Rs.54,000/, the mobile handset and few currency coupons from the accused. Besides a motor cycle and certain house break implements used in the commission of this offence have also been seized from the accused.
The accused who is a local petty offender has been produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate and remanded for judicial custody.
