• A case of ordinary theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the intervening night of 09-10/08/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry by breaking the door lock of Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple at Nala Nayyatharpu Village Belthangady Taluk and committed theft of Silver pooja articals, ‘Kanike Hundi, and a Brass idol called ‘Bali murthy’ all in worth Rs 7,000/

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 10/08/2006 at 1800 hrs one Chethan driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-4313 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-4164 driven by one Imthiyaz. As a result pillion rider Suprith (20) sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Another pillion rider Jesnaru D’souza (17) R/o Chandalike Vittal village Bantwal Taluk sustained simple injuries. Motorcycle rider Imthiyaz did not sustain any injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 10/08/2006 at 1925 hrs near Kapikadu HP School Bejai Mangalore Taluk one Abbas D. driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-5550 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-1990. As a result one Sukeen S Shetty (21) R/o Flat No. 306, Sakambari apartment Mangalore driver of the said car sustained simple injuries and the car also got damaged.


• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 09/08/2006 at 1830 hrs one Abdul Rahiman (24) driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4801 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Hameed (24) R/o Bangaradakodi Bolathoor village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case of Kidnapping along with hurt has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 10/08/2006 at 1310 hrs Jakeer @ Jakeer Husain Bandar Mangalore and Enthi @ Enthiyaz Bandar Mangalore kidnapped one Abdul Lathif in a Maruti 800 car and assaulted him by hand while he was going along with Mohammed and Mubark near Mosque at Bhavutagudde Manglore. Later accused themselves admitted him at Suraksha hospital.


• A case under criminal restraint and hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 09/08/2006 at 2055 hrs accused Mohammed Rafiq, Navaz Thanzil and Iqbal stopped a car at Marnamikatte Mangalore Taluk and assaulted one Bhaseer A (29) R/o Pachakad Anagur Kasaragod Kerala State by hand and with chappals due to trivial issue.


• A case of Hurt along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 09/08/2006 at 2100 hrs at Karimajalu Ivathokklu village Sullia Taluk accused Kusumadhara and Ganapayya assaulted one Mahabala Gowda K (22)R/o Karimajalu House Ivathokklu village Sullia Taluk and gave threat to his life owing to civil dispute.


• A case of Hurt along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 10/08/2006 at 1915 hrs at Kalleri Dharmastla village Belthangady Taluk one Prakash abused Nazir (18) R/o Mundruppadi House Dharmastla village in filthy language and assaulted by hand and gave threat to him and his brother Mustafa.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 10/08/2006 at 0900 hrs one Sharadamma (28) w/o Ashoka R/o Basavana Vadi, Shivaraja Nagar, Bijapur district slipped into the water pond while having bath near Shri Mahalingeshwar Temple Puttur as a result she got drowned and died.
