- A case of theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the night of 06/08/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry into DK ZPHP school Karnodi Laila Belthangady Taluk by breaking the door lock and stole various utensils belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane worth Rs.4,000/.
- A case of Servant theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Staton. On 07/08/2006 in between 1030 hrs to 1100 hrs one Suresh (30) R/o Ajekaru Karkala Taluk who was working in Karnodi House Laila village Belthangady Taluk committed theft of gold ornaments worth 80,000/ from the same house by opening the Almera .

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 08/08/2006 at 1145 hrs at Kemmai Chikkamudnoor village Puttur Taluk one Humanthappa driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-1785 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to a Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-1923 from the back. As a result the Scooter rider Kumbadi Venkataramana Bhat (55) R/o Sediyapu House Padvanoor Puttur Taluk sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 2245 hrs near Sri Devi Nursing Home Karngalpady Mangalore one unknown driver of a maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-9630 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to a Kinetic Marvel scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-6006. As a result the scooter rider Noyal D’souza (20) sustained simple injuries and the car driver escaped from the place without stopping his car.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1430 hrs in front of MCF Panmbur on NH 17 one Janardhana driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AA-1177 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to a Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-4755 from the back. As a result Jeep driver Abdul Aziz, Jayaraj, Sharagunaraj, Jayalaxmi and Deepthi who were in the Jeep sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1540 hrs one Gurprasad driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2025 drove the same in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a new auto rickshaw driven by one Mahammedali (24) due to which the auto rickshaw got damaged. No injuries reported.
- A case of Non Fatal accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 04/08/2006 at 1930 hrs at Halekote Ullal village Mangalore Taluk one Musthafa rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-5167 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Iqbal (28) R/o Halekote Ullal village a pedestrian. As a result Iqbal sustained serious injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1200 hrs near Kana cross Katipalla Mangalore Taluk one Rithesh rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-2037 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-4473. As a result the scooter rider Madhava K (46) R/o Mudukodi Krishnapur Mangalore sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Rioting, public disturbance and preventing the Govt. officer from discharge of his duties along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1430 hrs accused Bhowthis @ Bhatu Dais, Devid D,silva, Felix Quadoza, Elliyas Dais, Sudha @ Sudhakara Shetty, Jaya, Albert, Jerald D’costa, Sunil Siquera, Naveen and others forming an unlawful assembly criminally tress passed into the house of one N. M. Ayyappa (51) Forest officer, Shirthadi range Mangalore Taluk and assaulted his staff Veerappa and also gave threat to his life. The Motive is that on 05/08/2006 near Shirthadi Moodabire, M. C. Ayyappa had seized wooden logs belonging to accused persons.
- A case of Hurt along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Police Station. On 08/08/2006 at 0130 hrs at Maripalla Pudu village Bantwal Taluk, accused Rafiq and Diamond Saleem assaulted one Altaf with Sword and by hand and gave threat to his life. Motive seems to be Althaf’s connection with one Abdul Rahiman.

- A case under Indian Explosive Act has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1600 hrs at Air Port during security check one Dananjaya Shigarvi (22) was found carrying a 6.35 mm bullet in his trouser pocket without any license. The same was seized by V.K. Vergees Inspector CISF Bajpe Air port and handed over to Bajpe PS.
- A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1815 hrs on credible information PSI Ullal PS along with staff of highway patrolling squad intercepted an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4152 at Chemugudde Peramunnor village Mangalore Taluk and seized 178 small sachets of Ganja (each sachet weigh about 1.5gm) by arresting one Ashraf @ Mohammed Ashraf (26) R/o Kakiko Road Indiara nagar Ullal Mangalore.
- A case under Prevention of Cow slaughter Act has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 2100 hrs PSI Uppinangady PS and staff on credible information intercepted a goods Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-21-7467 at Padmunja Kaniyoor village Belthangady Taluk and seized 03 cattle being transported illegally.

- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In between 05/07/2006 and 07/08/2006-2100 hrs one Ravi Prakash (25) s/o Gopala Naik r/o Kandadka House Duggaladka Sullia committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Room.125 in Deccan Lodge Mangalore.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1140 hrs one Walsan (40) working as mechanic in Railway department while taking Lunch near railway station suddenly fell down from the bench and got injured. He was admitted to Wenlock Hospital and there while undergoing treatment he was declared dead.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 07/08/2006 in between 1130 hrs and 1430 hrs one Manjula (44) R/o Matada kini road Urva Mangalore committed suicide by jumping into a well near her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 1100 hrs one Lathish Kumar (27) R/o Guruvamma Nivas Mogavirapattan Ullal accidentally fell into the deep sea while working at NMPT Berth No. 1 and died of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 0700 hrs one Rajesh (36) S/o Kuttappa R/o Katooru House Jalsoor village Sullia taluk consumed poison in his house owing to health problem. He was admitted to Sullia Govt. Hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/08/2006 at 0930 hrs one Sanjeeva Gowda (44) R/o Onabalu Malavanthige village Belthangady taluk fell from the tree while cutting tree branch near his house and was seriously injured. He died while on the way to hospital
