On the intervening night of 14-15/08/2006 some unknown culprits gained entry into ‘Rao’s Ideal enterprises’ at Church Building Kodialbail Mangalore belonging to one B.S. Ganapathy Rao by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of one Nokia mobile phone and cash Rs 600/ all in worth Rs. 2975/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 14/08/2006 at 1815 hrs near Bambila Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Sathish Bhat driver of a car bearing Reg. No.KA-19-7760 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-4656. As a result motorcycle rider Mustafa (20) S/o Koya R/o Koppadabail Charmadi Belthangady Taluk sustained serious injuries. He was admitted to KMC hospital Mangalore and there while under treatment he succumbed to his injuries.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 15/08/2006 at 1600 hrs on NH 17 near Talapady Bridge Talapady Village Mangalore Taluk one driver of 407 Tempo bearing Reg. No. LD-02-113 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Mazeed a pedestrian and caused simple injury to him. Further the Tempo driver lost control over his vehicle and the Tempo capsized. Due to the the Cleaner of the Tempo Abdul Rahman R/o Kotekar village Mangalore taluk sustained grievous injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 14/08/2006 at 1330 hrs at Galimukha Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk one Anantha Subramanya R/o Delampady village Kasaragod driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-313 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-2610. As a result one Ummar N (43) R/o Nirpady House Volamogaru village Puttur Taluk rider of motor cycle sustained serious injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 15/08/2006 at 1730 hrs one Manjunatha driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-4824 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner over Hosmatta Bridge on Subramnanya-Uppinangady road and lost control of the vehicle due to overflow of water over the bridge as a result of which the Lorry along with driver and 03 other persons got washed away due to heavy water current. They have not been traced so far. Rescue operation is in progress.

On 13/08/2006 at 1030 hrs at Kamala Katte Loretto padvau Bantwal village and Taluk one Manjunatha driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8128 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-4968. As a result pillion rider one Sharif (28) S/o Sulaiman R/o Shanthiangady Bantwal Muda Village sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 14-08-2006 at 1215 hrs one Jeevan driver Auto rickshaw, drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner due which the Auto rickshaw capsized near Bastikar Enterprises Bejai Kapikad Mangalore. As a result Ravindra Pai (48), his wife and daughter who were passengers in the auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries. Auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place with his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 14/08/2006 at 1630 hrs near Guddeyangadi Puttige village Mangalore Taluk one rider of motor cycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-6500 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-20-H-1383. As a result the scooter rider Shankar Narayan Rao (50) R/o Janani house vidyagiri Kadandele village Mangalore, the motorcycle rider and pillion rider of motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 15/08/2006 at 2330 hrs one Abdul Rafiq R/o Akkarakere Ullal Mamgalore Taluk drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-863. Due to this impact, the said auto rider lost control over it and the auto rickshaw capsized. No injuries reported.

- A case under criminal restraint with criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 15/08/2006 at 1100 hrs accused Dharnappa Gowda and Ravi stopped one Shridhar Gowda Edapadithaya (34) Enala House Patrame village near his house and abused him in fifthly language and also gave threat to his life owing to civil dispute.

On 06/08/2006 one Hema Girish (25) S/o Rudramani Swami.S R/o Bakkambudi village Tharikere Taluk Chickmagalore District committed suicide by consuming poison at his grandfather’s house in Dharmasthala Bethangady Taluk on 06/08/2006.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 15/08/2006 before 0900 hrs one Baptist Galambhav (76) Nainadu Kolekbailu Pilathabettu village Bantwal Taluk consumed poison at his house and died while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 13/08/2006 one Vishwanath (25) R/o Pernodi house Nellikaru village Karkala Taluk got injured as he slipped and fell down while carrying bundle of leaves near his house. He was admitted to KMC hospital Manpal and while on treatment he was declared dead on 15/08/2006 at 0745 hrs.
