- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 21/08/2006 at 1630 hrs at Arambur Saralikunja Alletti village Sullia Taluk one P.B Jayarama driver of Jeep bearing Reg No. KA-21-3264 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-3252. As a result one Shathish Poojary (30) R/o Badarabailu house Kariyangala village Polali post Bantwal Taluk the driver of the said car sustained simple injuries.

Abdul Rahiman, Moose, Moydu M.M, Rafiq, Bhasir, Ashraf Mallimaru, Lathif Mallimaru, Karim Mallimaru, Ibrahim Alike, Hussainar Palthadu, Moidukunhi, Mohammed Palthadi and Sharif Kotragadde forming an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one KC Abdul Khadar (57) S/o Abubakkar R/o Karnoor Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk near his house and abused in filthy language and assaulted by hand and with wooden stick and also gave threat to his life. Motive seems to be dispute between committee members of Charpat Mosque.
- A case under Rioting, criminal trespass, Hurt along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station On 16/08/2006 accused Vishwantha Rai, Shrinivas Rai, Padmanabha Rai all are R/o Menina guttu, Sarve village Puttur Taluk and others forming into an unlawful assembly criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Ramakrishna S Rai (56) R/o Elmudi house Sarve village Puttur Taluk and abused him and his son Abishek in filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. One Shobha (19) R/o Biliyur Quarters Biliyur village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the well near her house owing to health problem.
- A Boy missing case has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 1815 hrs one Naveen Kumar (20) went outside the hostel of St Aloysius Boys Hostel Mangalore and did not return to the hostel there after. He is found missing since then.
