- A case of Outraging the modesty of woman has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 23/08/2006 at 1200 hrs near Kuchejalu Punchappady village one Abdul Salim came on a motorcycle bearing Reg.No KA-21-J-1531 and misbehaved with one Ashwini Kumari (16) R/o Kuchejalu Punchappady village Puttur Taluk by pulling her and thereby outraged her modesty.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 26/08/2006 at 1245 hrs one Dugappa Madivala rider of Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-7066 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to a Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-251, which was parked on the left side of the road in front of Professional couriers shop at Karnadu Bypass Mangalore Taluk. As a result Duggappa Madivala rider of Kinetic Honda scooter got seriously injured and succumbed to the injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 26/08/2006 at 1150 hrs at Mangilapadavu Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk one Manoj Kumar driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2707 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-09-5957. Further the Lorry driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against one Abubakkar (24) a pedestrian and the Lorry capsized. Due which Abubakkar (24) the pedestrian, Ismail (26) driver of Lorry, Mohammed Rafiq (24) and Hakeem (26) who were in the said Lorry sustained simple injuries.

On 26/08/2006 at 1545 hrs at Koyla Badagannur village Puttur Taluk one Damodhara (25) R/o Badagannur village Puttur Taluk driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg.No KA-21-2468 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-4335. Due to this Saroja and Seethadevi passengers in the auto rickshaw and auto rickshaw driver Damodara (25) sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 25/08/2006 at 1700 hrs near Kerpada Edamangala village Sullia Taluk one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Q-203 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Asiyamma a pedestrian and caused serious injuries to her. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 26/08/2006 at 1415 hrs at Konaje Juction Konaje village Mangalore Taluk one motorcycle rider bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2420 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-4164. As a result one Umesh Naik (34) R/o Konaje village Mangalore Taluk rider of motorcycle Reg. No. KA-19-U-4164 sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Criminal breach of trust and cheating has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station where in accused Anthony Dass, Tessi Dass, Reymond, Robin, Christopher, Cathy and Cecilia committed criminal breach of trust to one Archie Moras (40) R/o Kankanady Mangalore who had given cash Rs. 2,00,000/ and valuable property of Rs. 1,00,000/ total of Rs. 3,00,000 to accused for purchase of Cement in subsidized rates under military quota on 18/08/2006. The accused persons cheated Archie Morass without supplying the Cement bags.

On 26/08/2006 at 2230 hrs near Mullakadu bus stand Derebail village Mangalore Taluk the accused Arun, Roshan, saketh, Shivaprasad, Balakrishna, Dinesh and Rajesh forming into an unlawful assembly criminally restrained one Lokesh (23) S/o Devadas R/o Sri Ramakrupa Guthige compound Konchady Derebail Mangalore Taluk abused him in filthy language and assaulted by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to personnel enmity.
- A case under Hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 23/08/2006 at 1655 hrs near State Bank Mangalore Suraj Shetty and 03 other persons abused one Prabhakara (35) R/o Kapikad Ullal Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also damaged his mobile phone owing to personal enmity.
- A case under Hurt along with criminal intimidation has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 26/08/2006 at 0730 hrs one Abdul Razak R/o Shanthinagar Bajpe village Mangalore Taluk abused one Mohammed Mansoor (28) R/o Santhinagar house Bajpe village Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat. The motive is that Mohammed Mansoor had earlier lodged a compliant against him in Bajpe Police Station.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 26/08/2006 in between 1245 hrs and 1315 hrs one Nirmala Raj (36) W/o Pramod Raj R/o Near Basavanagudi Mangalore committed suicide by jumping into a well near her house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 26/08/2006 one Santhappa (65) R/o Beerinadka house Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk consumed poison in his house due to heavy drunkenness. He was admitted to hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Staton. On 26/08/2006 at 1900 hrs near the seashore in Panambur Mangalore Taluk one unknown male dead body aged about 30 yrs to 35 yrs has been found. This seems to be a case of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police station. On 27/08/2006 at 0700 one Venkappa Gowda (45) S/o Chanana Gowda R/o Mundathodi house Ujire village Belthangady Taluk consumed poison in his house owing to health problem. He was admitted to Belthangady hospital where he was declared dead while under treatment.
