- A case under rape along with abetment to commit suicide has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 11/08/2006 at 1630 hrs one Asha working at Bantwal Taluk office as SDA (clerk) entered the office of Sridhar Achar Tahsildar Bantwal Taluk and told him that one Jyothi Subhash working in the same office had sexual relations with her and later refused to marry her...etc Saying this she consumed poison in the office. She was immediately admitted to Kankanady Hospital where she was declared dead while under going treatment. Hence on the complaint of the Tahsildar this case has been taken up against the said Jyothi Subhash.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 11/08/2006 at 0730 hrs near Rao and Rao circle Mangalore one unknown driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9555 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-6813 due which the car got damaged. No injuries are reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urva Police Station. On 11/08/2006 at 1430 hrs one unknown driver of Lorry while taking reverse, drove negligently and dashed to a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-4263 which was behind the Lorry. As a result the car got damaged but nobody injured. The Lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his Lorry.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Station. On 11/08/2006 at 1515 hrs in front of Ballal Garage Nanthoor Mangalore Taluk the driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5195 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over it due which the auto rickshaw capsized and passenger Helen Menezas (68) sustained serious injuries.

On 07/08/2006 at 1130 hrs at Master Tailor shop K.S Rao road Manglore Vijaya Poojary and two others assaulted one Nagesh (34) R/o Noronha villa Gorigudda Mangalore with hands. Motive seems to be financial transation between accused Vijaya Poojary and Nagesh.
- A case of Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 11/08/2006 at 1630 hrs at Mudrottu Charmadi village Belthangady village one Sundari abused Nagaraj (30) in filthy language and assaulted with sickle owing to their family issue.
