- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 0730 hrs in front of Jyothi Talkies Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of KSRTC Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2108 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Shalini (32) W/o Sudhakara R/o Battanak Bolpugudde a pedestrian from the back and caused serious injuries. The driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/08/2006 at 1800 hrs in front of Hotel Ayodhya Kodiyalbail Mangalore driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-D-1 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1363 from the back. As a result the motorcycle rider Hariprasad (27) S/o Shivappa Gatti R/o Sabi Mestry compound Pumpwell Mangalore sustained simple injuries.

Abdul Khadhar, Yusuf and 14 others forming into an unlawful assembly with deadly weapon stopped one P.H. Moidin Kunhi (24) S/o Hasiner R/o Papethadi House Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur Taluk near Charpate Nettanigemudnoor village Puttur Taluk and assaulted him by hand and wooden sticks and also gave threat to his life. The Motive seems to be dispute between committee members of Charpate Mosque.

Abdul Rahiman, A.M. Moidu and 5 others forming unlawful assembly with deadly weapon stopped one A.M.Yusuf (37) R/o Charpartte House Nettanigemudoor village Puttur Taluk near his house and assaulted him by hand and wooden stick and also gave threat to his life. Motive seems to be dispute committee members of Charpate Mosque.

On 18/08/2006 at 1045 hrs accused Ummar, Pallikunchi, Khasim and Abubakkar criminally restrained Jainabee (40) W/o P.K. Abbas R/o Perne Biliyoor and his son Farooq and abused them in filthy language and assaulted by hand. They also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be family dispute.

On 18/08/2006 at 2300 hrs CPI Mangalore Traffic along with staff on credible information conducted a raid on Mayur Radio and Electronics at Nayak Arcade Hampankatte Managalore and seized 230 absence DVD/VCD, 210 obscene covers, one mobile phone and cash Rs. 1,320 all in worth Rs. 20,000/ by arresting Ganesh Raj R/o Attavar Mangalore, Jagadish R/o Meramajalu Bantwal and Ashok R/o Mijaru Mangalore Taluk.

- A woman missing case has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. One Kum. Kalavathi (24) R/o Doddamane Bengrakulur village Mangalore Taluk on 18/08/2006 went to Kulur Raikatte and did not return to her house there after. She is found missing since then.
