On the intervening of 17-18/07/2006 some unknown culprits had gained entry into the shop belonging to one Ashok Pai (46) R/o Budoli house Peraje Village Vittal PS limits by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of grocery items all in worth Rs.14,595/. In this connection a case of Burglary was registered Vittal Police Station on 18/07/06 and investigation taken up by Mr.S.F. Lohar PSI Vittal.
The Investigating Officer with assistance of Vittal Police have detected the case by arresting one Hameed @ Orambo Hameed 29 yrs R/o Kundadka house Nellyadi on 04/08/06 near Mani Bantwal Taluk. The Police recovered part of stolen properties worth Rs.3,500/ from him. Further in his interrogation, he revealed about the other associates who had participated in this offence. Their names being:
1. Abbas @ Oruminute Abbas (25) S/o Ismail R/o Near Gandhi Park Uppinangady.
2. Mohammed Bava (30) S/o S. Abbu Beary R/o Hosamajalu House, Nellyadi.
3. Sayed Zauddin (27) S/o Mohammed R/o Goshad house Kubadaje house Badiyadka Kasaragod.

All these accused were already in judicial custody in Uppinangady PS Cr No 187/2006 u/s 394 r/w 34 IPC. Hence Police took their body warrant and obtained their police custody from the court. On their interrogation and information while under police custody, the police recovered some more stolen property worth Rs.7000/.
All the accused are now in judicial custody.
